  • So since Kogan increased the i7-6700K by nearly $100 for this sale. Is the Futu Online version Australian stock?

An example of Kogan price jacking.

    20% markup. Coincidence????

        • The department of ACCC who deals with ozbargainers. ACCCC!!!

    • +15

Easy way to fix Kogan … don't shop there for anything.

      • +2

I never buy anything from Kogan, except a cheap cable to get 500 Qantas points.

        • I got that too!! hehe was a surprised when I saw it in the QFF account!

      • +2

More like if you value your life, walk away from Kogan

  • +2

LG G4 at $401 still seems expensive

    • After 20% discount?
I don’t understand as it was $370 with 20% off last time. Has the price gone up? Usually mobile phone price drops down when time goes by. Is Kogan trustworthy? I haven't bought from them and wonder if I can buy from them.

      • +1

well its kogan, theyre known for being shifty

    • Don't get it LG G4 has boot loop issue, you would pay the price to keep chasing for replacements from Kogan and they send you 2nd hand replacements or refurbished ones…

  • Sony BDPS6500 Blu-ray player delivered for $87.56. :)

"Seconds" with 12 month warranty. I've bought similar from them before and they've been as-new. Hopefully the same goes here…

not bad for Macbook 12' 1.1

wireless1_eshop is selling phones above rrp. A quick look in their history shows recent sales at their usual price. Oppo F1 is $326 when it usually sells for $293.

    • +1

wireless1 just increased their prices across the board. They have feature products on their ebay homepage showing the regular price, but once you click on it the actual price is inflated.

      • Hi there,
        - firstly, it is lawful to set the price above rrp.
        - secondly, Kogan sells mainly import stock, but we sell Australian stock. It is reasonable for them to sell it cheaper.
The listed price is already our best price and we are forced to increase the price by ebay
        Thank you!
        Kind regards,
        Wireless 1 Online Team

        lol, they have just confessed

        • So it's not the stores that are increasing the price for their profits with this deal, it's eBay telling/forcing them to?

        • @tidus4eva:
That's what they said. Not sure whether to believe them or not. I had sent them the link for when Kogan copped a $32k fine from the ACCC for doing the same thing they are.

I'm interested in getting the Oppo F1. Even with the "humped up" prices the 20% discount brings it to around $260. It comes with a bonus selfi stick or power bank, depending on which one you buy. Mobileciti are selling the phone for $270 and I've sent the rep a message asking if he can do a deal.

        • That's got to be rubbish. Surely eBay would't force them to increase their prices…

        • we are forced to increase the price by ebay

          wat

  • Futu has the samsung 34 inch curved monitor for $1150

If I made an offer for below that and it was accepted, do you think I would then be able to use the coupon code for 20% off that discounted amount?

    • You can made offer and they will just counter with $1 cheaper and ask you to use 20% off code.

It just waste of time and you need to wait until they response.

  • Just bought on of these for $1299 since it wasn't included in the last sale a couple weeks back, now its $1119.20.

    Asus Zenbook UX305UA 13.3" FHD Intel Core i5 128GB SSD 8GB

Oh well, it's a great price now, and this sale has tonnes of great laptops unlike last time.

    • I'm still waiting for special on Asus Zenbook UX303UA. Double the SSD size. Touch screen. 3 x USB3.0 ports.
The only downside is slightly heavier.

      • With the UX303, you can upgrade the SSD size as well, and the 4GB RAM to a 8GB stick :)
Just watch out for the hinges. My one is the UX303LB (i7-5500, broadwell version) and from the photos posted by mobiletechreview, mine is supposed to have the "new" hinges. Screen still popped out though.
Went to ASUS Silverwater, laptop repaired and ready to be picked up in 2 business days, they must have a few of these breaking, or they wouldn't have spare parts on hand!

  • +2

wireless1 jacked up their prices, you can compare their online store and their ebay store prices.

    • are you sure, most stores have ebay prices higher than their store. someone have to pay for ebay fees.

  • +1

Kogan jacking up prices is a sure sign of an imminent eBay sale.

  • I'm after a good router (not sure if I should have ADSL modem built-in as well) to replace a lousy Huawei all-in-one. Anyone has recommendation for something around the $200 mark post-discount?

  • Prices are 20% more. Time for negatives, Is that how it is done?

    Portable Turntables from SurfStitch:

    Floral - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Holysmoke-Floral-Turntable-Pu…
    $54.39 inc. Postage

    Black - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Crosley-Cruiser-Portable-Turn…
    $71.38 inc. Postage

Not 'amazing' quality and they will wear down your LPs faster than a proper Turntable… but they do work. The internal Power Amplifiers are terrible and introduce lots of noise & hum however connect their Line Outs to a proper external Amplifier and they sound pretty good. Speed is regulated well too. Perfect for those who just want to play around with 2nd-hand or cheap LPs and not care too much about their lifespan but please never ever use a Turntable such as this to play anything of value OK!

  • I had been looking at the Sony Z5 compact, they didn't raise the price specifically for the sale as I had been checking prices for the last 2 weeks but it had been above their normal Kogan website price by $30 usually. Still happy with 20% off bringing it down to $481.60.

  • +16

Asked customer rep if they are aware of price increases right before the sale and after a 10 minute wait, they replied "as per your concern I would like to inform you that the seller (Kogan) can change their price any time. In this case you can report the item."

Thanks eBay for your reply, I will go report all the 22,776 items Kogan has now O_o

    • +4

      ACCCC!!! LOOOOOL

It is under their right to change prices. Dont buy from them if prices are high.

      • +1

Yup definitely not buying from them - that's a given. As far as ACCC I think I've wasted enough time on this matter :)

        • hehe ^________^ ACCCC!

These shop specific sales can be quite pointless, especially when a lot of them simply jack the prices up.
    I'll wait for 20% sitewide.

  • Would the recent groupon $85 for $100 ebay voucher work with this deal?

Good price but don't get a refurbished Sony as they can have vertical banding - a very difficult and subjective phenomenon that can drive you nuts.

      • Dont they come with a years warranty

        • Yeah but it's kinda difficult as they can say it's working as intended, although it's why it was returned in the first place.

  • Anyone able to find a decent priced 4k monitor? Not looking for one for gaming.

  • Are they any IpS QHD laptops under $2K? (Before discount) - the dell xps13 is too expensive, and I can't find the zen book.

Might be out of stock now, but worth checking. They cost $1899.

It's worth checking the new MSI and Gigabyte 14" laptops too. I think it's called the Aero 14 for the gigabyte

  • Hey guys just curious, because the Macbook is over $1000 worth and being imported from overseas, will I be slapped with an additional GST and import tax charge if I do decide to buy?

    • I believe so, yes.

      • That is quite unfortunate, thank you for the reply!

    • According to live chat with eBay, the MacBook would be from Australia. So no import taxes.

"Oh, this is not from overseas. As only local sellers can participate in the Group deals."

      • Hi ozweb, is there any chance the eBay rep is wrong? When I click the buy now option it says expedited postage from outside AU.
