Optus Charged Me $20 for Using a Service Called "Mobile Active", What?

Hello!

It's now after 7PM so haven't been able to contact Optus Billings, so for now curiosity has got the better of me.

First month after a year i go on direct debit with Optus and already been charged for things i've never heard of, has this ever happened to anyone else?

Any know about this so called "Mobile Active" Service?

I did google it one thread came up with others asking the same thing.

    contact your provider and tell them to disable Premium services. This should stop any recurring charges from happening (it could re-occur next month)

    be careful when installing and playing certain mobile games or apps. Some of them require SMS permissions for no good reason, if you see this requirement remove it immediately from your app library.

      But yeah will do tomorrow closed at the moment, would just like to know their reason for putting this charge on there.
      The first month I set up direct debit with them for a year and get a bogus charge : ((.
