Who does the best-bang for your buck burger meal?

Say you have a $10 note to spend. You go to a foodcourt and you're hungry for a burger (meal)…

And suppose you want the largest serving possible because you are starving (but remembering you only have $10 in cash).

Where to?

Mc Donalds makes me hungrier, Hungry jacks tastes like garbage, Oporto is expensive, Grill'd never heard of and KFC is the best tasting!
    I choose KFC!

I think the small Oporto Bondi Box is a pretty good all round meal for $10.
    You get:
    burger
    chicken piece
    rice
    chips
    drink.

They are each fairly small, but add them all together and its not a bad deal.

  • The ultimate box at KFC is $9.95.
Can you even get a meal at grilld for under a tenner?

    • +4

Nope, you're out of luck at Grill'd for $10, I think their cheapest burger is about $12. But there's no comparison, they're light years ahead of the junk food offerings

Not a chance. There's only one 'full size' burger they do for less than $10….just don't go for the 'tasty cheese'.

      SIMPLY GRILL’D / $9.50
Grilled grass fed lean beef, salad, relish & herbed mayo
      –add tasty cheese +$1.00

…but as Wampus said, they're definitely worth the extra.

    • Or if you wanna save, get the double crunch ultimate box for $8.95

  • Bacon and Egg Burger with Salad. It is cheaper than a burger, you could probably get 2 for $5 depending on how much they charge for salad.

HJ with vouchers, but if you've done the survey and can score free chips and drink, then a twister combo isn't too bad from KFC.

Woolworths/Coles BBQ chicken and the cheapest bread roll you can find?

    • +1

      Still not a 'burger'

  • Definitely other. My local does a burger with the lot of $5 - beef/chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato & sauce.

    • whats ur local?

burger with the lot for $5?

This should be a thread in itself.

Could you reveal the location of this burger place?

Perhaps you could get the site to get a deal going for ozzzbargainers

  • Yep hj by a mile

    With vouchers even better!!

Grill'd is the only option here that at least resembles actual food.

  • Can thoroughly recommend Grill'd at Southern Cross best burgers ever !

  • Woolies bbq chicken and some burger buns

    Get a nandos burger

I kid, you need a small fortune for nandos

  • Opporto win on Breakfast IMO.

At the premium end I would go for Carls Jr.

  • Hungry Jacks is good when they have a voucher deal going on….

Chicken Treat sells them $2 Cheeseburgers - they are identical in size to its sister store "Red Rooster", you can buy 5 Cheeseburgers for $10… Most of the Chicken Treat stores are located in Western Australia though….
