It's odd they also say to follow the full terms and conditions.

The terms and conditions have this point in it.
Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher.

So maybe they can hold you to that too.

      • In terms and conditions, point no 10 to 20 explains how to use $50 voucher. Point no 16 is part of it

        • You're right, thanks I wasn't reading it in blocks like that. My mind works in weird ways.

      • They probably won't hold you to the T&C. They don't want to lose a customer, so they will just give you the voucher.

I've had an issue before when I didn't read all the T&C, so i sent them a email complaining about it, and they just told the marketing team to manually apply the voucher as a good will gesture.

I put AAPY25 on my ebay app and it says "you may have typed in your code incorrectly. Please verify your code and try again (50008). Is this code targeted?

      • It's APPY25.

        • Yes I put that, didn't work

        • @99altezza:

Then you weren't part of the targeted offer? Like me…

    • "I sent message on Facebook page of eBay and this(files.ozbargain.com.au) is the reply from them."

@nisarg I assume that was a public post then, so anyone could use that to verify that using the APPY codes wouldn't void the eligibility for the voucher?

      • I sent pm. But I assume that answer stays same for all. So anyone can use it.

  • I have been told, the 10 item limit does not apply to multiple quantities. So you could technically purchase the same item in more than 10 quantities.

  • So can we use the Groupon voucher with this or not peeps. I'm confused. If the APPY code is allowed then not sure why the Groupon one would be disallowed?

    • This is getting me confused as well. Groupon voucher should be treated the same as the APPY code.

  • Hi guys! I just bought an item for 190 USD plus 34 USD in shipping. What do you think my chances are to get the voucher?

  • Bought 2 items last night that came to over $200. Any indication when the vouchers are meant to be emailed? Would it be after the promo ends?

    EDIT: Whoops didn't read!

    1. The voucher redemption code will be available in the voucher section of your My eBay account from 8 July 2016
  • I received get $25 off of spending $75. Can I stack that voucher code with this one?

    • +1

You could as it has been mentioned in this post, you will have to pay more than $200 after discount, that is to say you need to spend $225 or more to qualify.

  • -1

But i can spend the $50 voucher on giftcards, huh?

  • -2

Does it have to be one transaction? I spent $70 yesterday. Can I spend $130 today and still get it?

    • +1

No. You have to spend $200 or more in one transaction.

  • is this paypal only or can u bank deposit or cash on pickup.
the t&c dont specify paypal but they did on past offers i think

    • Just called Ebay, customer representative said use Paypal or CC to buy item. He pointed me to:

      (13) The redemption code requires payment with an Australian or New Zealand PayPal account in order to take effect.
      (18) Your eBay.com.au and PayPal accounts must be active at the time of redemption (not suspended nor made inactive by eBay or PayPal) and be registered under the same email address.

I told him those T&C refer to the redemption of the $50 voucher, but he insisted we pay using Paypal

      Hope this helps

      • Ignore what I said. Just got an email from Ebay saying they'll honour purchases not paid with Paypal. i.e. It is OK to pay with cash

  • All these queries but we are all only guessing at the answers.

Best to direct these to eBay I think and get a reply in writing.

I made my purchase yesterday for $205 at a single eBay seller so now I just set a reminder for next week for the voucher.

  • Merged from eBay Hump Month Spend $200 and Get $50 Voucher

Hi I have a question so I bought a 750 monitor on ebay from a user will i get the voucher ? like is it for stores only? it does not say I dont think on the T%Cs can anyone help that knows or find out for me please?

    • To be eligible to receive the $50 eBay voucher, you must make a purchase of $200 or more on eBay.com.au during the Offer Period.

    • yeah i did but does it have to be stores on ebay? or any user

      • +1

I would say any purchase but it's eBay so, who knows.

        Sounds like a nice monitor

        • it is for my new 1070 lol its used so got it a lot cheaper

    • From my understanding it is not certain stores but just on ebay. You will find out after July 8 when they issue the vouchers.

  • +4

Do people ever bother to read the T&Cs at the top in these kind of deals? I mean, most of the questions people ask are already answered in there.

    • +2

People these days dont have time, they only read headlines and or what marketing terms are used. Too much text and walls of text they stop reading.

Attention span is limited these days.

Most of them could be unprofesional and not read t&c's.

    • I did read, but was and still confused can you use APPY15/APPY25 code and still get $50 voucher.

It states: "Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher" - does it mean when using $50 voucher or when buying $200 worth of stuff to get this voucher?

Even eBay support staff gets different answers regarding this.

      • +2

You're right, there are mixed responses about the use of those two codes, but I was referring to the other common questions people keep asking repeatedly, though the answers to such questions are all in the T&Cs. Sometimes you can't tell if those people are just trolling and somehow get a kick out of asking such questions, or whether they're serious.

    • +1

it's just so much easier to log into somewhere, compose a post, send, wait, read etc etc… I hate reading anyway

  • -5

so can we buy stuff from international sellers?

    • +1

To be eligible to receive the $50 eBay voucher, you must make a purchase of $200 or more on eBay.com.au during the Offer Period.

      • thanks mate I know that but I can still buy stuff from overseas seller on ebay.com.au though…would that stil be eligible?

        • +2

          Yes

  • Hi I'm trying to find the masters eBay store. Can anyone send me a link. Do they even have one? Thanks!

  • Got something that was decently priced, the voucher made it a bargain :)

A good way to look at this is $40 off what you're buying now, then $10 off what you buy later, with the minimum spends of course.

I almost missed this, was it only on the front page for a limited time?

  • -4

I've purchased a luggage and lotion from Myer ebay, but I didn't used the appy15/25, can I cancel my order or do a refund at myer?

    • email or chat to ebay support

  • -1

So you need to enter a coupon to get the vouchers? I was reading the T&C yesterday and there was no mention of any coupon and did the purchase. Did I miss out?

    • No coupon needed, just a single transaction over $200 excluding post.

      • -1

You said single? Really? Can't buy multiple as long over 200 dollars?

        • single transaction, multiple items

        • "8. Multiple items may be purchased in one transaction (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction)."

  • wtf with the changing offer expiry dates…

  • +2

Has it already expired, I get "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please try again."

    • +4

Try the code READTHETERMSAGAIN. It might work for you ;)

      • +1

Ah I am a dork, not bad for new rotors and brakes for 300 after both discounts

        • Good price. I hope the stacking works for you - at the moment it's untested. Some eBay reps say it's OK; Some eBay reps say it's not.

  • DUmb question, are auctions included?

    • Yes, just make sure the auction finishes and payment is made by midnight tonight

  • can you buy through the ebay app or do you have to use the website ?

    • I was wondering this too, as I just bought something from the app for $211 but got no confirmation.

My guess is that you can, because people have had multiple confirmations that the offer works with the APPY15/25 codes, which can only be used on the App.

Guess they'll just send codes out when the time comes.

    • I don't think it makes any difference whether you make a purchase either through the app or the regular site (as long as it's a single transaction, through .au and finalize the purchase before the end of the offer period).

But fo me, the app would be the last place I would shop in. It sucks big times. Had issues with it when I tried to use it for the other offer (APPY15) and I had to contact eBay for reassurance that I'd be credited the $15 (which they promised, luckily).

Smart Question: Can you pay using iTunes Cards?

promo extended back to 30 June 2016

  • I reckon they will extend it , bet tomorrow the updated banner is there showing its been extended

    • spoke to soon, they just updated to show it is extended in the terms in conditions…

      • +2

yes and terms and conditions now state UPDATED: We extended this promo to 30 June 2016

        • Thanks goodness! Wanted to go to bed early tonight and still couldn't make up my mind of what to buy. I had few things in my cart, but they were under a hundred bucks so if I can't justify buying something that I may need by tomorrow evening then I am ready to hand over my OzB badge. :)

  • Why do they keep changing it back and forth by a day?

    • +2

      They have torrets

  • When do they give you confirmation that your order qualified? Is anyone certain that APPLY15 is valid? It did say not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.

    • Multiple posts above stating customer service chat has said APPY can be used.

      No confirmation received here yet.

  • Anyone worried that spend at ebay.com.au means the website not the app?

Customer service chats saying APPY coupons can be used suggest that the app is fine, but made a purchase an hour ago and no voucher confirmation so just occurred to me that I might've been duped.

    • Do we get/Have people been getting confirmation that $50 is coming?

      • +1

Do we get/Have people been getting confirmation that $50 is coming?

There is no confirmation until they send out the code.

    • +1

Anyone worried that spend at ebay.com.au means the website not the app?

No. Sheesh what sort of question is this?

but made a purchase an hour ago and no voucher confirmation so just occurred to me that I might've been duped.

You don't get a voucher confirmation, read the terms and conditions! They will identify the eligible purchases and send out the coupons later, they do not have a system that constantly checks for eligible purchases and sends out confirmation codes immediately.

  • Paid with the ebay AU app, used appy15 code. Then realised my country I have set by default is USA (for US items I usually buy) - do you think this would affect the ability to attain the $50 voucher? It's only a setting within the app. My ebay Location within app = Australia when clicking on username

    • It should be fine. , as long as you purchased and paid through ebay.com.au rather than ebay.com .

  • +2

Item costs must be $200 or higher EXCLUDING postage. Just verified it with eBay chat rep. For those wondering. So if you paid $199 for items with say $20 postage on top, you would lose out on the $50 voucher.

    • Which is exactly what I did last night…….

  • So as luck would have it the item I bought was no longer available :(

Am I still good for the voucher?

This is in the T&Cs: '6. A voucher will not be issued in circumstances where a buyer initiates a cancellation following an eligible purchase.'

I won't be going for the cancellation, the seller will.

    • +2

      You wont get it

      • Yep, I won't, just got off the phone.

  • Hi folks, is there a sure way to tell or to confirm that you're eligible for this offer, after you've spent $200 or more on a purchase? I bought two items totaling $206, but no confirmation as yet — or will they notify us only on the 8th of July?

Any info would be greatly appreciated and all, thanks. Also, they've just extended the offer till midnight tonight, 30th of June. Just got an email from them stating that fact. : ) Good news for those looking to take advantage of this deal. : )

    • +3

      To answer your question: No

You will one day in the future randomly get sent a email $50 code voucher to use on your next purchase* *not to be used in conjunction with other offers.

      • I love random stuff

  • -4

have to be $200 in one purchase? or can be the total of few purchases/payment within the promotion period?

    • +1

$200 or more, before postage, in a single shopping cart purchase. Can have multiple items in your shopping cart before you checkout.

  • Hi,
I know egift cards are not part of this deal, but I was wondering in general, does anyone know if there's woolies egift cards on ebay? I don't seem to see any listed.
    Any help appreciated :)

    • +1

got mine from cashrewards, not sure anyone selling those gift cards on ebay with more than 5% savings.

spend $210 for 2*$100 wish card and get a $50 voucher from ebay. uhhh not a bad deal

      • Gift card purchase is excluded from the $50 voucher

      • +2

Would not buy from someone with feedback of 4, & 0 feedback as a seller. Particularly when they have multiple listings for the same gift card. Where are they getting them at such a low cost that they could sell at profit after 10-15% costs of eBay. Too high risk of a scam artist.

Paypal protection does not cover gift cards so good & reliable seller feedback is recommended when buying gift card from someone on eBay.

  • just wonder, if i make an offer and seller accepted my offer, will the item show up on the cart? can i checkout with other items in the cart so that i can make it to total $200? or the offer accepted item got to be paid separately? just want to make sure before i make offer for the item i want
    thanks

  • I did the eBay web chat and the lady was super helpful and let me use both the APPY25 and confirmed they can give me the $50 voucher also as my purchase is over $200+!!! The eBay app didn't work for me with the APPY25 or APPY15 coupon but she is organising a refund for $25 and the $50 voucher manually credited to my eBay account.

    • Have you got the coupon originally though ? And did you need to spend $225 ?

    • just curios how did you get APPY25 but I only get APPY15?
