Just got a reply from eBay regarding the $100 eBay voucher bought via Groupon. It's a no go unfortunately.

    Hi xxxx,

Thanks for contacting eBay about confirming if $50 voucher will still be issued to your account if in case a $100 voucher will be applied on your $200 purchase. I'm happy to assist you.

xxxx, please be guided that as per the terms and conditions of the promotion it states that "Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher". It means to say that only one promotion can be applied in a transaction. If you wish to take advantage of the $50 voucher you may need to pay for the full item price worth $200 or more without applying your $100 voucher or any other discount.

However, you can still take advantage of active vouchers in your account by purchasing other items. This needs to be applied on a different transaction from your $200 purchase.

Wish you all the best here on eBay . Thanks for choosing eBay and you have a great day xxxx!

    Best regards,

    xxxx

I thought this deal couldn't work with other vouchers? how are people using the app code.? wont it effect the eligibility?

    •

APPY code via the App is fine apparently. Groupon eBay $100 voucher not so for some reason which doesn't really make much sense to me but any ways that's what I have been told.

  •

Sorry, what's the code to put in to get the $50 Voucher??

  • +5 votes

I have been browsing eBay for hours and can't think of a $200+ item I need. So hard to save $50!

    •

If I can't think of anything by midnight, I'll just get a silver or gold coin, maybe resell it later for something.

    •

yeh neither. Bet you we'll all need something from ebay thats $200+ in a few days…

    •

Same here. I managed to add a couple of things that I need into my cart and the overall amount is about a hundred. No way I am gonna spend another hundred for things that I think I "might" want in order to get a $50 voucher that I have to use by the end of August. F that!

    •

You mean spend another $50 for free. It's hard enough to buy $200 but easy to spend $50 for free

I bought an item for $148 US which was $201 AU at time of purchase.
My ebay order page today is showing $199.91 AU
Will I need to dispute this now ?

  •

The condition is "a purchase" but
"You have more than one currency in your cart, so you'll complete checkout for each currency separately."

Will this be counted as more than one transactions everyone?

  •

    Hi,

So do we simply just make a purchase ? do we need to apply a coupon code at the checkout ?

    •

It has expired. Hopefully you didn't make a purchase just now thinking you would get the voucher.

Merged from Where is my $50 eBay voucher?

    Hi,

I recently spent over $200.00 on eBay during the 'Spend $200 get $50' deal on eBay a few days but have not yet received a code or anyway to redeem my $50 voucher. My question is has anybody else received their $50 back or am I just looking in the wrong places?

    Regards

  •

does anyone know, for the $50 voucher, can that be used combined with groupon voucher?

    • +3 votes

Assuming the $50 voucher is given as a code, which they've done in the past and is how the groupon voucher is given, no because you can only use one code at checkout.

  •

Now to add a few things to the wishlist and decide what to buy when the voucher arrives :)

Has anyone received their $50 voucher yet?

  • +1 vote

I'm waiting on a different voucher for a promo that also ended 30 June, and when I contacted eBay yesterday about it they said vouchers would be sent out on 11 July. So perhaps the others will go out then as well.

EDIT: Oops, meant this as a reply to WizardofOZ!

    Hey,

Did anyone receive this voucher (50$), it was suppose to be there in ebay account by today, 8th July ? dont see one yet ?

    Cheers

  •

    T&C of offer says -

Vouchers are valid from 8 July 2016 until 23.59 (AEST) on 31 August 2016 (“Redemption Period”). Any voucher which is not redeemed by 23.59 (AEST) on 31 August 2016 will cease to be valid.
The voucher redemption code will be available in the voucher section of your My eBay account from 8 July 2016.

Can't see Voucher section on eBay account nor the voucher :(, another scam ? or getting impatient :(

  • +5 votes

The keyword is 'from' 8 July 2016. Give them until the end of the day at least, patience is a virtue.

The voucher redemption code will be available in the voucher section of your My eBay account from 8 July 2016.

    •

If the promotion is by "eBay International", then 8 July could be based on US time, so yes, as you said, waiting until end of day makes sense.

      thx bro
was chatting with ebay an she just said wait 2 hours.
then i saw your code and asked her why she didnt just tell me the generic code.
she was very confused - no generic reply available.

    • +2 votes

Thanks, can confirm that the above code works.

    • +6 votes

Thanks tried the code and it works ! I also used the APPY code when I made my qualifying 200+ purchase so can confirm for others that using the APPY code earlier on did NOT make me ineligible for this code.

    •

Thanks - just tried that and got an error that the code is for a different eBay account. My order was for 215USD which I placed through the app and used APPY15 - I wonder if the order from the US was ineligible. Will wait and see, otherwise might try chase up with support…

      • +2 votes

Chatting to support - I just got the reply that vouchers are still going out throughout today.

Not sure that's helpful, but I will check with them again tomorrow.

    •

      Works for me. Thanks.

    •

  •

anyone can confirm if we can use the voucher with groupon voucher ?

  •

    anyone tried using it twice?

  •

code didnt work for me. made a purchase 400 AUD on 28 June

  •

I still don't have my voucher.. When did you guys get it?

  •

Hi all, on 30/6 I purchased 7 items that were $205, and then 2 days later & 6 days later two sellers cancelled the transactions as they had no stock. I can see in the T&C above that it would be an issue if I cancelled it - "A voucher will not be issued in circumstances where a buyer initiates a cancellation following an eligible purchase" - but there is no mention of sellers cancelling a transaction. I thought I would see the voucher today, but it hasn't appeared, and the code above does not work (says it's for another account). I contacted ebay via chat and was told I'm not eligible. I've sent an email trying to escalate this, as it seems they are not following their T&C. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this issue with this voucher / similar ebay vouchers?

    •

Cancel = no voucher. Many people has reported this before. Seller cancelling doesn't change the fact it is a cancel transaction

      • +2 votes

An ebay rep has since told me I was eligible via chat and that I can purchase an item and will get $50 reimbursed to my paypal. Their T&C are specific in that it says 'buyer initiates a cancellation', as opposed to broader 'cancellation'. I still spent $120 (and then $190 after I purchased another item) anyway, so maybe that helped, not sure. Could be that I asked it to be escalated / was talking about them not following their T&C too. The voucher code doesn't work and hasn't appeared in my account automatically though.

    •

Same boat here. Item arrived DOA, feel really bummed.
Voucher is in my account though, so do I use it quickly and then return item and hope it doesn't get picked up in the system… hmmm

      • +1 vote

Hold off on the DOA claim. Use the $50 voucher and wait until receipt of those goods. Then lodge DOA claim (you have 180 days).

        • +1 vote

          Thanks :)
Managed to use the coupon yesterday for a lens, picking up today. Seller will process the refund direct through PayPal for the doa item so hopefully eBay is never any the wiser and the voucher use remains legit. That would certainly make up for the huge hassle of returning the DOA item and the disappointment that it didn't actually work (it was a superb deal!).

    •

My $200 item wasn't able to be shipped by the seller, so they refunded the paypal transaction and I got my money back, but according to ebay, the item is now in some limbo state - it's in my purchase history as 'unpaid', but I have no option to pay, nor any option to cancel.
Due to this, I still got my voucher.

  •

    YAY GOT MY CODE!!!

  •

Still nothing here - anyone else still waiting?

    •

Nothing here. Did on two accounts for household, none for either. Not in email or Ebay Summary, but I'm in no rush, as long as it comes through eventually

      • +1 vote

I just tried and the code actually works for me even though its not recorded in my account yet.

  •

No code in account for me and C50MORE didn't work.

    •

Voucher still hasn't been activated on my account. The best eBay chat support could do was "technical issue blah blah… we'll email you when it's issued".
