Free Parking in Melbourne CBD and Surrounding Areas

Hi Everyone,

There have been quite a few occasions where I have been looking for free parking in and around Melbourne's CBD on a Friday night or weekend. I have tried using au.parkopedia.com however it does not seem to show all the parking options and the prices seem to be wrong, plus I am really only interested in free parking which the website does not seem to accurately list. I was hoping that we could collectively come up with a list of free parking locations (i.e. free street parking) including the times they are free and the parking duration limits for Melbourne's CBD and any popular surrounding areas (e.g. Rod Laver, Crown Casino etc.). Otherwise does anyone know if there is a good reliable website I could use to achieve my objective?

      Can that deal only be used once per liven account? I have seen it quite a few times on ozbargain.

    Secure a spot has always been good to me. I can't remember a time where I've paid more than $2-5 for evening parking in Melbourne cbd.

    As for free parking - good luck.

    Boat House Dr. Next to the river across the river from fed square so a 2 minute walk to flinders.

    10am - 3pm Mon-Fri $2 per hour, max 3 hours
    So it's free and unlimited from 3pm Friday till 10am Monday

          Excellent spot for free parking on a weeknight/weekend, however it is pretty dark at night to be walking alone (I did)…best to walk along the river as I spotted some people walking along so it'd be safer.
