Sounds like you didn't analyse the business.

      (Sorry!!)

  • Thanks mate, good find!

  • Is this an actual qualification they send you via post?

    Any hecs implications?

      From the website

The aim of the short course is to give you a ‘taster’ of the Introductory Certificate in Business Analysis (ICBA) course

No – it is not possible to cover the full curriculum of the certification during the short course but a discounted package of self study and exam voucher will be available for purchase at the end of the course.

These introductory courses are ok if you want to waste a bit of time, but it is not industry recognised in any way, and it is used as a marketing device to get you to sign up to their distance education. Which is expensive.

I've completed a couple of the IT Masters courses and they are far from a waste of time. Yes, they are tasters for the full subject but if you need an introduction to a topic area then the ones that I have done are excellent and very relevant to the IT industry. No HECS implications and if you sit the end of class test you get a certificate of completion. The certificate carries no industry recognition but think about what you paid for the course.

  • So, I presume it is about Certificate 1/2 level.

    If you're already a business analyst, I wouldn't bother with this…

  • Thanks!

Thinking of doing a Masters, quite a time and financial commitment, so this taster course is perfect to help decide. Thanks OP.

  • Signed up. Sounds like an interesting course.
