Ski Equipment Hire at Jindabyne/Perisher

Heading to Perisher and looking to hire skis, shoes, jackets etc. to go ski'ing, then swap them over for snow boarding and do the same.

Any tips on good rental stores at Jindabyne?

Not sure if this is good value? https://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/68823/up-to-51-off-ski-and-…

  • here's a tip - they are open late at night, sometimes very early in the morning, like 1am…it may pay to buy some of your own equipment like gloves and goggles

    • ^^agree

i actually didnt think places rent out gloves and goggles….

goggles i would imagine the lens would be scratched beyond belief on rentals
gloves..most would not wear glove liners so …bodily fluids overload

      small piece of advice
get some good wool socks…Cotton is terribad

  • Yes, we got 2 vouchers. They are cheaper then the one we go normally. ( just compared the two )
I have no clue what they are renting, if the quality is O.K.

  • have used their sister store (Snow City) but friends have used Monster previously and we both had no issues.
In terms of value, it is hard to beat.
Quality though is subjective, depends on your needs - if you are after generic rentals then go for it. If you have specialist needs or consider yourself an expert, then you probably wouldn't be asking here :)
Bear in mind Monster are 3km out of town, you will need your own transport.

    • Ok, might try it. Retail $50 for 3 days of rental for a jacket and pants seems a bit steep.

      • its not too far off actually

if you have any inclination to go more than once…Aldi gear is good value for money… if you can get your hands on any

      • you didn't mention days…. for 3 days wouldn't be worth it…
you get $100 worth of value, which for me covers 6-7 days and for the kids covers same plus gets a toboggan plus other stuff to fill the $100.
buy through groupon when there is 15% off you get the deal for $42, plus referral credit (or today I notice $10 off first deal in the header)
