One PS4 on two TVs in different rooms?

Just need some help in getting this thing sorted.

PS4 is located in living room and when my missus wants to watch TV I'm stuffed and have to stop playing. I have small room downstairs where I could put second tv however I do not want to move PS4 coz is also used for netflix etc on main tv.

So far I have come up with this:

1) HDMI sender/receiver http://www.jaycar.com.au/digital-2-4ghz-hdmi-av-sender-recei…
2 HDMI Splitter http://www.jaycar.com.au/2-way-hdmi-2-0-uhd-splitter/p/AC176…
3) second tv, something like 40" roughly $300-400

Are there any other (cheaper) suggestions?

Thanks

Isn't there some sort of dedicated PS4 accessory for this, I'm sure there's been bargains for it on here at times…not sure exactly what it's called though.

Did you update your PS4? Why not PS4 remote play natively on a computer?

That is a pretty roundabout way to play it remotely

will allow remote play and can be had for ~50-$100

Otherwise Remote play on a PC/Mac/Laptop can also be used if you have a spare computer.

Or get a cheap chromecast for netflix etc and just have a second power/hdmi cable on the second tv and move the PS4 when required.

    HDMI splitter/sender..?
    Honestly not worth it.

Can't your TV handle netflix by itself?
Many "smart" TVs can. Look into it.
That way you can Save your game progress. Leave the HDMI and power cables, and unplug the PS4.
Take the PS4 and controller downstairs, and plug it into the power and hdmi cables on the small TV.

I would say just get another PS4, but then you lose your Save Progress…. or really long Sync times.

And if your TV can't netflix by itself… I would say look into a cheap htpc/device that can.
Could have support for XBMC/Kodi and or Android with Google Play Store.
Sadly the new Apple TV is very overpriced.

A Chromecast can do this for about $30.

  • Thanks all guy.

Do you know if remote play app for android will work on chromecast? Then I can just leave PS4 connected to main tv and use chromecast downstairs.
