This seller is offering $1 off on a $4 spend. To get the discount press the "Get a US $1.00 coupon" button before going to checkout.

I already have one of these and I dropped my Redmi Note 3 Pro flat on its face onto concrete from a sitting distance. The screen protector is a bit cracked and chipped but the phone itself looks fine so I think it did the job well.

I noticed this discount when I went to buy a new one, the original price is pretty good so I think this is a great deal.

  • I never use screen protectors, and am wondering to what extent these things are necessary. The Xiaomi Note 3 has a strong screen. See http://www.androidauthority.com/xiaomi-redmi-note-3-durabili… and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A6lSF8uvn8

    • For a few $$ I think its worth it.

Here is another video of a guy destroying one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBSGmAoDcT0

    • I've scratched phones screens by mistake by putting in my keys/coins. For something that is just a couple of bucks most people like it.

  • Anyone keen to test the 'explosion proof' claim ? :D

  • How are these for fingerprints?
I bought a generic type one recently and the oleophobic coating wore off in 2 weeks and now it's a fingerprint magnet.

I've currently got one of those matte screen protectors instead and it's much better for fingerprints but not so good for clarity - everything looks fuzzy.

    • To me it seems no different for fingerprints than the stock glass.

I can see fingerprints when the screen is off but not when it is on.

      • Ordinary cheap tempered Soda lime glass has no oleophobic coating.

The iPhone does though although most people arent aware of it because they usually slap on a protector.

      • I have used the Nillkin brand ones and they say they are fingerprint resistant and i was exceedingly dubious. Lo and behold though, when I received it and put it on, the only place that has any kind of fingerprints on it are the areas I constantly have my fingers or thumbs on (from playing games a lot) and they clean off easily and take a while to settle back on the screen again.

Don't know about these ones but I can verify that there's at least one brand out there that works as advertised, so it's definitely a thing. Rather than being made up.
