    Yet another eBay sale yawn

    • +14

They are almost as common as dominos pizza deals nowadays…

      • Almost as common as the old Eneloop sales

  • Has anyone found the t&cs for this deal?

It will be here, if you enter something random on the end of that URL you get a different messgae.

      http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/chill15 Gives a different from
http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/clipit20 proving it will contain content later. Guessing this will start 10:00am AEST tomorrow.

When will my order be shipped?
When the item is available in our warehouse. We generally specify anywhere from 7 business days to 6 business months.

Will I be notified when my order has been shipped?
Yes, you will receive notification when the delivery team sends you a failed delivery notification, or sometimes after the item has been delivered.

      How is delivery calculated?
All item delivery prices are calculated using the Microsoft random number generator plus $50.

What happens if my item is faulty or breaks down?

Why is eBay excluded from the 30 Day Price Guarantee?

      No

      Can I track my order?
      No

Oh nice, I'm sure people won't mind potentially waiting up to 6 business months :)

What a shame I don't drink coffee at night, my screen would be covered in it otherwise.

  • Looks like this code isn't ready yet. Please try again later.

so should this be marked as [unconfirmed]?

    • Deal is now confirmed and starts at 10am today :)

  • I had noticed a phone I've had in my eBay watch list for a couple of weeks at $279, this afternoon went up to $316. And from "more than 10 available" to "0 available". I was wondering if a percentage off sale was imminent? Fairly standard pricing behaviour.

  • Can you use this with click and collect cashback promo?

    • 99% sure nope

    • I used click and collect last year for our fridge, not sure about the cashback though.I'd just ring them and ask

    • Can confirm it's a no.Tried 2 days ago

Does anyone have any info / screenshots that show The Goodguys were part of the last CART15 promotion? I looked up a printer using eBays "Search the sale" toolbar. It took me to the TGG and their logo was part of the promotion. I couldn't get the code to work. I rang eBay and they said it was just their system being updated and just pay for the item and we will give you a manual credit. The next day the TGG were removed from sale and T&Cs, and eBay sent me a message saying they won't honour the manual credit (even though they have a voice recording of my call saying they will give a manual credit). Apparently I need evidence TGG were initially part of the promotion??

    Any opinion on these TVs?

    • Samsung UA55KU6000W - 55" UHD - $1,395 ($1,186)
    • Panasonic 55DS610U - 55" FHD - $1,295 ($1,101)
    • Sony KDL55W800C - 55" FHD - $1,195 ($1,016)

Don't really need a 4K TV due to lack of 4K content, but don't mind paying a bit extra if the set is overall better in terms of user friendliness, responsiveness, and picture quality, etc.

    • +1

The Sony is the pick as a solid all rounder however if you want to future proof and don't game much, then the Samsung is a great panel too. I have had two Samsungs now and they have never let me down but that's just my experience :) Best to check em out in store too.

Went to pick up the UE Megaboom as was $294 yesterday and 15% off would have been great. Today the speaker is now around the $350 mark, so 15% off is more than what it was yesterday. Dodgey Good Guys!!!

    • Yeah that sucks, I hate price jacking. Good Guys are usually one of the stores which doesn't participate in this sort of behaviour…

  • +3

Had this HDD in my cart yesterday for $118. Checked again today, and price is up to $139. That's an 18% increase. Here's the price history.

    • Ebay 'sales' are a rort, damages their brand.

    • Lol TA, hard drives aren't even included in this eBay sale. I agree price jacking is ridiculous but The GoodGuys can't have everything on sale all the time ;)

      • Totally aware of that. Just wanted to highlight the issue. Had this in my cart in the hope the discount applied across the board today. I have no idea why they decided to jack this particular price today when it's been $118 or lower since at least July.

        • It's a real shame when retailers price jack and think they can away with it. At least we have more transparent information across board through eBay price history and comparison sites like Statice. GG should have just made it sitewide, especially since they have just been overtaken by JB…

  • Sigh just bought lg 55b6 week ago from JB at the non-discounted price… OzDepressed :( That is a really good price for an awesome tv.

    • Did you buy on a CC with price guarantee?

I have a deposit down at HN for that model at $4200… which was a good price last week.

      • Yeah tell me about it - I bought for that price and then it dropped $200 few days after. JB were awesome and refunded the difference out of good will :thumbs up: re credit card yeah I do have one with price guarantee but it's not an advertised price in a catalogue - so doubt they would refund this $600 or so

  • How accurate is the store pickup stock list normally? I'm interested in an item that I know a store near me has plenty of stock but on ebay it's showing no Perth store as having stock at all.

    • Its not … often display models are counted and also depends on Goodguys ebay team as to which store they farm the actual purchase to.

  • Gg got acquired by jb… Gg..

    • now we know why TGG were not joining for the ebay sales

  • History tells us, there will be a closing down sale..soon….

  • Any thoughts on the Samsung UA50KU6000W 50"(127cm) UHD LED LCD Smart TV for $1015.75 (down from $1195)? There aren't a whole lot of 50" options around these days but this is the perfect size for the area I need it in.

  • Last week I got 20% off + a $50 voucher for purchase over $400 still waiting for that to turn up in the account.
They're so frequent that this is an OK deal if you can't wait.

  • I think one of the best buys of this sale is the Hisense 70M7000UWG. This is the cheapest i have seen it and its great value for money and also an excellent TV from what i have read.

    $2580 delivered.

  • I am looking to buy a Yamaha YHT-1810B Home Theatre System and this is the best price I have seen in a while ($424.15) but I just can't bring myself to pulling the trigger knowing that they were $319.20 at the Good Guys eBay last year :( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/200529

  • Any bargains?

    • I was waiting for this question so I posted some deals up with the code. Unfortunately I don't have sheep who blindly vote up every one of my deals to front page so instead I have to put in more time and effort :)

    • +1

I picked up a Panasonic DMP-UB900GNK UHD 4K Blu-Ray Player for $730 delivered which is a decent deal.

  • TVs will just cheaper and cheaper. I'll pass. Nice deal though if you need one.
    eBay definitely tightening the belt.

    • Yeah I wish they would go back to category deals like 50% off BBQs back in the day. Now that was a great sale!

  • "Hisense 55K3300UW 55" UHD LED LCD Smart TV for $930.75 C&C(ebay.com.au) $1195 @ JB"

    Hello.

Just wondering how does one get the amount $930.75 for the Hisense 55K3300UW?

At the moment its listed as $1195, and if I deduct 15% I get $1015.75. Wondering how to get the $930.75, and whether I need to be using other discount codes/strategies? I notice the cashrewards can be used (I've never used that before) but is that enough to bring it from $1015.75 down to $930.75?

Thanks for any clarification, and sorry if I'm missing something super obvious.

    • +1

Thanks for noticing, GG have jacked the price up to $1195 from $1095 last night.

      • +2

No problems! What a shame they would do that :(. I think I'll try my luck around Christmas time and hope that the retailers feel giving with their discounts :)

  • Is it worth the extra dollars for organic?

  • To get the curved LG screen or the normal screen, hmm?

    • Depends on your room and the intended use. For a family, the normal screen, for a solo gamer go the curved or if you love 3D go the curved. Both are great panels :)

  • Heyy guys, for some reason the code does not work at all. I really want to buy the LG HDR 4k curved oled in that special price but what gives? Ebay says it applicable for that item

  • Any good deals on 65inch TV and above please?
