1gb ram, I would personally avoid.

Seems to be the norm for tablets in this price range anyway..
Galaxy Tab A is the exception with 1.5Gb.
For some reason development of brand name tablets seems to have stopped in 2013!
The new models are minor design changes, and perhaps a slight processor bump. But the Nexus 7 2013 is still a more than competitive tablet in 2016!

      • The only advantage is come with 4G.

        • and the stylus

yep … android tablets never took off or got a foot hold in the Market… the first few that were released by the big names missed the mark.. so its pretty much an apple domain .. either you get an iPad or a ultrabook/Surface depending on your needs :)

i have a few early versions galaxy tab S2 and acer iconia .. both of which promised lots and delivered little .. so not surprised not much has happened in that market.

my kids rather play on iPods or android phones than those tablets.. LOL

Disagree, nothing wrong with a variety of android tablets. Just have to get the right ones.

        • @treeman: probably scuds point - to most in the market, a 2016 should be superior to a 2014 model… Although android + 3rd party supply has limited such "easy" comparisons having any value. To the conscientious buyer, of course, value is always found, but to the majority/market, iPad sewed it up (unfortunately)

@pensionday: There hasn't been a need for new tablets. Apple themselves have not bothered updating their iPad range this September. They had nothing new to introduce that the old iPads couldn't do. Plus their iPad sales have fallen flat as of late. People have not found the need to upgrade to a new model unlike with phones.

  • Does this actually have it's own GPS chipset, or is it A-GPS only?

  • Can purchase brand new on ebay for roughly the same price:

I'm having trouble finding detailed specs for it. Amazon's page is useless. And it is using some specialized carrier product SKU.

  • 1GB ram, no deal.
