This is a pretty good deal if you spend $50 exactly as the box of chocolates you get goes for $49.95 at DJs

Oh really? I was trying to find the retail price here, to give an indication of value. But just could not find any sites selling it, using google. Seems to be more available in the UK, Europe. It is not even available for sale at the AU Lindt website - which I thought is a bit strange. Thanks, kerfuffle, for this info.

Yeah. I used to sell food at DJs before I moved to my current department, hence why I know how much it is (or was; not sure if we still sell it but I'll check later at work today)

I see. My goodness, you are up at this hour … and you have to work tomorrow (I mean later today :-)) Have a good night!

        • @bluesky: I'm sick to boot, too! (called in sick over the weekend and pretty much all but two days of the past fortnight)

@kerfuffle: Well, take plenty of rest. Hope you get better soon.

Just checked in the Foodhall; definitely $49.95

Thanks again, kerfuffle. You have a good memory - exactly as you remembered :-) And no price increases from when you worked there!

        • +1

@bluesky: Lindt rarely increases in price. Plus we're so expensive compared to just about everyone else who sells Lindt …

    Great bargain OP

    • +1

Yes, seems so, especially now I know how much the free chocs cost.

They had 50% off loose chocolates last time I was there (on Saturday, ends up $26 for a big box) so that could be a good buy if they're still going, as well as $10 waffles from 29 Sept to 9th Oct! (http://www.lindt.com.au/cafes-shops/whats-new/)

    • Wish the salted caramel 1/2 price cake deal which ended on Sunday, was still on. Realised too late on Sun 4pm that it was the last day. Much prefer that to waffles.

oops, supposed to be 26th of Sept!
