The one you linked from MSY for $159 seems to be full ATX form factor.

      • Oh yeah you're right. The mATX one is the Z170M Pro4S for $165 @ MSY. Dunno why the full ATX is more expensive :S

  • No good camera deals? I need a G7X or G4 and none to be had. Ebay retailers have cottoned on to the 20% sales

  • Decent price on the Asus ROG Swift PG348Q, 1599 after discount, with free freight, from Futu online.

  • Any deals for Nintendo 3ds xl?

  • What courier does futu_online use for their standard delivery?

    • Australia Post I think I got mine to wa in 8 bus days ordered at 10pm

    • Mine was Fast way, but when returning it, it's an auspost label.

Neg due to sellers jacking up prices prior to this morning. At the worst, worthy of ACCC referral. At best, I would avoid buying to discourage this practice.

    • +6

I agree, sale jacking makes the sale pointless and misleading if some prices are higher than their main website even after discount.

      • +2

I really wish OZbargain moderator can intervene and remove all the positive vote, as long as people submit proof that there is not much deal to be had.

Any good deal can be posted separately on their own listing.

This will drop significant amount of uninformed buyer (who only browse OZbargain front page) from this fake sale.

This should have significant sales reduction of these dodgy seller…

        • -1

false discounts mislead buyers into purchasing thinking that there is a real discount whereas in reality all prices have been jacked up to negate the discount

    • I agreed. All I can find is the Sony refurbish mp3 player that is a reasonable price. The rest, are only about 5% discount. The seller is eating up the 15% discounted by ebay.

  • +2

Faark nothing to buy, all regular prices, so frustrating.

  • +6

Everyone should buy something and then leave negative feedback for the seller, maybe this will get their attention and stop them from jacking up prices above RRP every time!

  • I'm after a mITX 1151 z170 or h170 + CPU i5 or i7 skylake + GTX 1070… can't find any good deals.
Guess I'll have to wait for Black Friday (25th Nov)

  • frequent sales have resulted in sellers keeping their jacked prices during the non sale period. Likes of fuktoo online should be avoided like a plague.

    • +1

100% agree, the sellers are making a killing at Ebay's and our expense. I buy regularly off Ebay from Wireless1 and have done for a couple of years. All the things I normally buy are jacked up by approx 19%.

You'd think Ebay would warn them or pick different sellers for their promos. It defeats the purpose.

      • +2

99.9% sure ebay is fully aware of what's happening. That's why they're doing these codes/deals back to back instead of waiting 1+ months inbetween as it has been in the past (on average).

More sales, more money spent = more ebay and paypal fees to rake in.

        • +1

But aren't Ebay subsidising the 20% discount?

  • Thanks OP. You saved me $30 price matching with co-op today. As a struggling student who could barely afford to replace her laptop that is currently not working. It's just a cheap one but will do for now.

    Thank you!

Ausluck increased their prices on the base model iPad Air 2 by about $50.

    It was previously $569.

  • +1

To be fair there are some items that aren't jacked up.
Ie - I got this for around $112 last time and now its $100 after discount

SONY NWZ-ZX1 ZX Series High-Res Audio 128GB Walkman (Black) (Seconds) for $346 after 1.25% cashreward and 20% C20TEC code.

    • LOL an extremely overpriced ipod touch.

Is this the one that came out more than a year ago with RRP over $1k?

      • I believe some said it sounds better. $1k is overprice but at this price for a refurbish, it is worth a shot. I cannot stand the Apple ecosystem and so the ipod touch is not for me.

        • +1

Their high-end walkmans really do sound better, but not everyone can appreciate the difference. Just look at how many people are satisfied with stock earbuds or using headphones with just their smartphones.

        • Buy it, everytime you pop in your earphones on the train you'll be laughing at everyone else missing out on sound the way it should be.

But I'd say the price is only about par, not a super bargain, it is now an older model but still good considering it is an exotic music player.

        • @eug: I use to be one of those until I have the money to purchase a few high end headphones.

It is all sold out at the Sony store. Some seller from overseas still lists it for over 1k lol.

  • Been following prices on an ASUS RT68u and this is by far the worst price on a 'sale' they've ever been on eBay. Jacked right up when they've been as low as $175-$191 with the discount. Not even getting below $200 this time through on any retailer. There might be some bargains to be had, but definitely not when it comes to networking items.

    • Are you sure? I just picked this up on this sale for $191 from PC byte

  • Is there a way to search for a specific item in all the participating stores at once? Should totally be a thing if it isn't.

    • +1

      From the post description…

To search all participating stores, click on 'go to deal' and scroll down to the blue 'search the sale' searchbox on the eBay site.

Heh. Probably should have read the whole post instead of being excited to see which stores were involved.

        Thank you :)

  • Anyone find a OnePlus 3 phone in these retailers?

    • if you get one pm me, i have a unused case and screen protector you can have for $5 if interested

bought them before i bought the phone then got a samsung isntead

  • +1

Ozb'ers should encourage integrity by negging these 'sales'

    • +2

eBay isn't going to care one little bit about negs here.

      • +3

Not ebay but for the Ozbargain herd who upvoted this 600 odd times making others foolishly think they're finding something worthwhile.

        • +1

You need to realise this site is not just about you. Just because you can't find a deal doesn't mean there are no deals at all.

        • +1

but for the Ozbargain herd who upvoted this 600 odd times

Agreed. This place is turning into Reddit.

  • +5

I have to say that this is the worst eBay % off sale yet. Never seen one before for multiple stores with so few deals. Only 3 pages of deals, when the spring sale (CSUN20) had 18.

    • Last 15% site wide was good, I saved a few hundred dollars from the last deal.

But this 20% off from selected retailers is crap.

      • Even less deals in this then the 20% off Dick Kogan and Bing Lee and that was only 2 stores.

  • +6

Prices jacked up. Only "deals" I could find net me a saving of 1-5% off local retailers.

  • Got lucky and got one of the Hero5 Blacks in the Teds deal yesterday! Can anyone recommend any good bargains on a MicroSD card - anything in 64 or 128gb range? Always get so confused with the speeds required for 4K - is it 80MB/s write speed required?

  • Does this deal work with the groupon $85 for $100 voucher?

    https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/ebay-3

    • You can't stack codes, only one code at a time.

  • Ausluck increased the price of their iPhone 6S Plus 128GB last night from $1229 to $1349 while I was checking out.

When I was directed back from the PayPal payment page to eBay checkout, I received a message saying the seller had just revised the listing and that I need to confirm I had reviewed the listing before completing transaction - I thought maybe it was just stock levels being adjusted, then I noted the increase in price - of course, I didn't end up going through with the sale.

    • +1

Ask a silly question, expect a silly answer… but if a product is cheaper than it is normally, even if it is not a true 20% saving from the normal sale price, is it not still a bargain?

In your case whilst it could have been $983.20, are you likely to even find it for $1079.20 anywhere else in the near future?

I ask because I am about to purchase a jacked up iPad.

      • In a sale event like this, just buy what you think is cheaper.

Don't expect a full 20% off normal price, because most of the time the retailers will jack up the prices by 10-15%.
So you'll end up with 5% saving on some items, still good if you really need an item today and not tomorrow.

You just need to compare prices with other online stores (not ebay).
Sometimes you'll be able to get your items cheaper even without any discount.

I'm looking into buying a Qnap TS-251+-2G and it's selling for $499 on futu, but after some research I found a brick and mortar store selling it for $364.
So it's still cheaper even with the 20% discount on ebay.

Another example, a WD 2.5" Blue 1TB is selling for $68 from a brick and mortar. (thanks to Elkman)
I was very close to buying it from Futu for $79.2 after discount.

If you want something today and it's the cheapest you can find, then get it.
If not, then hold off until an eBay site wide 15-20%.
You'll get a much larger selection of stores and items to choose from with real bargains to be had.

  • In the last 20% off I got 2 lenses from Shopping square. Before discount one was 369.00 now it's 459.00 other was 208.00 now 270.00. Definitely looks like they added 20% before the sale started.

  • I have never heard of Ausluck before.
Thanks to those posts here, it's now added to my blacklist as Badluck.

  • +5

Wish we could nominate these sellers for the Choice magazine's shonkiest awards.

  • +2

I'm really not sure why these ebay deals are still routinely getting like 500+ upvotes

    • -2

Probably for the 5 pages of deals. It's less than previous sales, but hey, it's still 5 pages.

  • If it wasnt for them retailers jacking up their prices this would be a deal. However no one knows until the actual sale is on.

Now people know they're all doing this and regretting + votes haha

  • just curious, are there any screaming bargains on things other than computer parts?

  • any good deals on wireless headphones?

  • Any deals on Galaxy S6 or S7?

    • +1

Not really, the cheapest Galaxy S7 is $665.52 for grey import. Not very competitive. It seems the phones are overpriced even after 20% it seems.

      Edit: Link to all

      • Interesting. Need one pretty urgently, it does seem a little high for grey import though.

  • +2

Couldn't resist ordering a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART for business. Had it sitting in checkout for 3-days! Finally caved in.

    • You won't regret! That's the best lens I bought ever. Sharpness, colour, EQ, all beyond one's expectation! :)

      • I had one before! On Canon :) Things have gotten more expensive!

  • Any good PSU deals?

  • -4

Guys remember 20% off a price jacked up by 20% is still a 4% saving so still a bargain

  • This is what I was looking for 20% off an S7 edge $746! Insurance money from my iPhone stolen in Barcelona spent.

Let's just hope Shopping Square actually have stock and deliver. Haven't had a good run with Ebay purchases as of late.

  • Hmm, looks like this laptop has gone up 25% (before discount)

    NEW Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Laptop Intel Pentium N3710 4GB RAM 128GB SSD Win10

I remember that item was part of a Dell's own 20% off sale, $399 instead of the usual $499. The 20% off eBay code was on top of that bringing it to $319.20. It's back to normal now price now. A few comments about it. Mentioned it on this deal post also which was part of dell's own 20% off sale.

  • Any good deals on internal hard disk drives. Looking for a decent size drive to migrate all my games to ? Any suggestions please?
