I think we should AGREE that "28-day months" are unethical (or, at least, they REDUCE the value of the deal). Optus measures time in Real Months, AFAIK, & it's unfair, IMO, to reward "undercutting" of value, eg, by this Deal vendor.

Months have 30 or 31 days, one has either 28 o 29 days.

I think we LOSE almost a month of value by using vendors,
who want us to believem that -every- month has 28 days.

        My 2.2 cents

But you can't use EC's refferal with the cashback. EC lives off refferals.

  • Not overly worth it.. $35/28day for 9GB+unlimited. Optus directly has $36/mo (~$34-35/28days) for 10GB+unlimited if you're a student, and it's everyday price - not a first month deal.

Edit: If you're someone who is able to port numbers around and everything this isn't too bad (ie $15 for 'unlimited' calls for a month), though it's a lot of effort… If you're that cheap get a long life Telstra sim and text people to call you, can get by for ~$50/year then. That's probably more practical too - you don't have to deal with number porting.

    tl;dr:
Those using larger data amounts go with the $36 Optus deal.
Those looking at the 1.5GB plan, $25 is too much for what it is. $15 for first month is too unpractical for so little savings. Better off with a long life sim and ask others to call you instead if you're that cheap.
