Samsung SRF719DLS 719L French Door Fridge $2444 + Delivery (after The Good Guys eBay 20% off & $400 Samsung Cashback)

130
CGOOD20

In need of a big fridge-freezer with water/ice maker? With a flexible 4th door that can be used as a fridge or freezer this one suited our needs. Currently in the latest catalogue for $3555, the same price was on the eBay store so discounted to $2844 (plus delivery). Given that Samsung also have a $400 Cashback on this model (see https://www.samsung.com.au/promotions/home-appliances/fill-y…) this brings the cost down to $2444 - a saving of $1111 from the current advertised price! I arranged for pickup from my local store but arranged for premium delivery which installs new fridge and removes old one and waste.

Hopefully the ice will offset the fire

    • I assume the custom compartment supports Galaxy Note 7 phones.

      • where can I put my washing machine? :P

  • This is a great fridge. I've had mine for just under a year and works really well. Very spacious and bright inside. This is a great price also.

    • Thanks swifty - I'm glad you like it! I have been needing to replace my 20 year old Fisher & Paykel fridge and so the timing was great for this given my budget was about $2500. I have a separate upright freezer, so the flexible compartment for more fridge space was a pretty big factor. I also love my ice so won't need to be storing a half dozen ice cube trays anymore!

You'll definitely enjoy it! It's also very silent, except when it empties out it's ice bucket, but you won't really notice that. The touch panel is also very responsive which is good. Although the fridge is easily susceptible to finger marks, it still looks super good. Doors are sturdy also. The ice \ water dispenser is actually fantastic because with a lot of fridges, the filter sits behind the fridge which is an absolute pain to get to and change when needed, it also typically adds bulks to the back of the fridge. However, the filter in this fridge is located within the actual fridge and is extremely easy to replace and access. Water pressure comes out good, and ice is pretty standard.

  • I'd jump on this but I have nowhere to put it (yet) and I need a non-plumbed fridge.

  • Ordered one… the price is great… ticks all boxes… big, 4 doors instead of freezer drawer, cold water and ice …. Thanks espcookie for sharing…

  • I am struggling to decide between models at the moment. This LG seems to save space having a slim-line ice maker:

Major difference is the freezer doors vs draw. Doors probably neater, but draw allows for large items if ever needed too.

    Price difference minor after cashback.

Anyone care to chime in with advice?

    • Draws are going to very annoying when you need to dig something stuck at the bottom. My sister has this issue all the time, and things get 'frozen' together and she has to take out a bunch of stuff to get what she wants. This is also why i went for the doors vs the draws. I liked the idea of draws. But it makes sense that it can become 'messy'.

      • I have the same LG Fridge but the 900+L model. The main Freezer draw is so annoying. I have to take out a shitload of stuff, just to get to what I need on the bottom. If I had my time over, I would have never gotten the draw version. Go for the Samsung.

    • I am in the same boat and can't decide between the 2 fridges.

      • Thanks for the replies, I will go past soon and check them out, hopefully they are in store.

        • ended up going for this samsung 4 door. Mostly due to the better freezer organisation. The ice maker does lose space up the top left, but not really any different on the door itself.
LG fridge is bigger, but this also has the convertable 4th door

    Hi Guys,

Firstly thanks to espcookie for the post. To be honest i was looking at the exact same deal myself, but was not sure if SAMSUNG would honour the claim.

the cashback terms and condition (https://www.samsung.com.au/promotions/home-appliances/fill-y…), stated that it will NOT include ebay or any unauthorised retailer (see below for exact terms). However TGG IS an authorized retailer. So i am unsure if there is any chance they can reject the claim. However based on my experience from purchase on TGG ebay, TGG would typical provide an official tax invoice anyways. So I doubt samsung will know if this was purchase from the ebay store or not.

Nontheless, even without the 400 cashback, 2800 for this beast of a fridge is a good deal. But who am i kidding, we are here for good deals, and the 400 cash back that makes the fridge down to 2400 is just too good!

Any comments whether the cashback would work or not based on experience?

    Cheers!

    • Quite often when i buy from a online retailer via ebay, they direct invoice copy as well, so hopefully if you're able to get them to manually invoice you from the good guys, how will they know you purchased via ebay.

    • Last time I picked up a eBay order from GG they gave me a receipt in store with no mention of eBay.

  • Thanks OP.

  • How long is warranty for samsung fridge?

    • Website says 2 years…. and 10 years on digital motor

    • the Samsung webpage will have the info you need

  • guys,

I have a fridge recess height of 1840mm. Spec of the fridge says its height is 1825mm. Does it make the cut???

    • Yes that's fine

  • They've increased the price by $200

    • +1

Nope. $3,555 is the original listed ebay price (before discounts).

      • Yep. The OP says it's listed on eBay at $3355 but it's now $3555. Has increased by $200.

        • OP just has a typo, was always 3555, which correlates to OPs calculated discounted price.

        • @pasadala: Ah, OK no worries.

        • Yes - sorry this was a typo - I have edited to fix this back to $3555. Apologies. BTW I got mine delivered Friday and it's a great fridge.

  • Anyone here bought this fridge and submitted the claimback to Samsung? Any success???

I just bought the fridge, and had delivery included. The formal invoice from TGG came with a line stating the fridge and additional line stating "ebay delivery".

Samsung requires that we send in scanned copy of the invoice. I am wondering if that additional delivery line would ruin the claimback………

    Any comments?

    • I've been worried about that myself. I will try and ask TGG for an invoice removing the eBay reference…

      • Hi Pasadala, do you have any luck getting TGG to remove the ebay reference? I tried asking them to charge the delivery on a separate invoice, but they said it cannot be done as the delivery must be with the product. Are they happy to change the reference to something else????

i believe they are more inclined to just say system says no….

please let me know where u get to with this. I am contemplating removing delivery all together and just do a pick up myself.

      • If you get really stuck, you could just put a small strip of paper over the "eBay" line and scan it into your computer.

Or scan it in as a .png/.jpg file and erase it out in ms paint.

  • You guys are lucky, they have increased the price to $3899 now!

    • Ridiculous price increase!!

Try to negotiate in store. I went today and put a deposit on the same fridge at Bing Lee and got it down to 2800 before cashback!

      • Wow that's great. Do you mind my asking which store?

        • Price back to $3555 on their ebay store
Still few hours left to buy

        • Got it from Bing Lee Campbelltown.
