Don't forget to go through CashRewards - https://www.cashrewards.com.au/coupons/get-a-massive-8-off-s…

    • codes don't stack.

      • CashRewards doesn't use a code, you log in through it and use their link to GearBest… and then you're free to use the code above at checkout.

          2.4% for new customers.
          .8% for existing customers.

what you linked was for 8% using a coupon 'cashrewards' on the gearbest site.
this doesn't work with the code OP posted. they don't stack.

        • @dasher86:

Orrr… a person just clicks on the "Shop Now" button and goes through and still uses the XIAOMIVAC code at checkout.

It's not rocket science mate - but good to point out to those playing at home what the 2 rebate options are, cheers.

Seems like its still new :) Need to check some reviews about this VS the irobot.

    • +2

      supposedly a LOT more powerful

      • video on gear best shows it going over some small paper and not picking it all up…?

Most robot vacs rely on multiple passes to do the full job

    Hmmm looks good…

Reviews from Chinese forums are pretty positive. However the price in China is only CNY 1700 = AUD 330.

  • i wonder how this compares to an iLife which is 1/3 of the cost

    • +1

      I have iLife A4.
Its great! Its not as smart, has no app (on A4. Some of their models do) but does a good job. A4 is also slimmer, so fits under beds etc.
I was thinking about buying Xiaomi, but at this high cost, I wanted to be sure it will work out fine in my house.
Was saying just the other day, after looking at samsung robot vac, that for $1000 I can buy 5 iLife robots that will clean better.
Biggest problem that I have is the size of the dust bin

      • thanks heaps Sergey!
i was looking at the A4 as well as its meant to have the highest suction rating of the iLifes.

xiaomi looks great with all the features but at $500 thats a bit steep and comparible price to Neato imports.

      • how long have you had it for?
can you give a bit more detail regarding dust bin? if you do it often, then it shouldn't be a big problem.

        • Only had it for a week, so cannot tell how it will work long term.
Dust bin is about average amongst similar cleaners (dont have specs but I think it was 300ml or so - check for yourself)
I have 4 bed house and have to clean in sections (close off doors in between), otherwise it goes everywhere and bin fills up quickly (have a dog and 2 cats).
But if I let it run in a sectioned off area, and clean the bin in between - works out great!
Battery suppose to last for more than 2 hours, but I do not know - never ran out of juice.
Most hair seems to be picked up from carpets (have 2 medium rugs), as it has a motorised brush

        • @SergeyAU: yeah pets are a problem with all these botvacs, they fill up & clog up quickly.

        • @SergeyAU:
If someone decides to buy A4, may as well get an extra kit (roller, brushes and 2 extra filters) - $20 with free post
          http://www.gearbest.com/brushes/pp_415377.html?wid=21

Or, since its free post, you can wait. I just ordered a set in case new model comes out and it will be hard to get extra parts for it. I am sure roller and brush will last at least a year

  • Using LIDAR like Neato. But cost the same as Neato from Amazon. Is it better than Neato?

    • Looks like they had a close look at Neato when they designed this thing.
The brush is half the size though, so it will need way more passes. What does that mean for battery life?

  • last time i tried this voucher a few days ago it said that it had reached it's limit.

  • any experiences with the new blitzwolf vac XRC600? released about the same time as Xiaomi. not as smart but cheaper.

    • oh yeah forgot about the blitzwolf one. looks decent.

someone go buy one and report in or Sunny can you send me one and i'll spread the word!

  • I read a recent review that'd said the mi robot functionality only appears on the Android app in Mandarin, so no go for most ppl her I think.

    • google translate, or someone here will do it for you

    • eh. there a few videos that translate the app. you just need to take note and get to know it.
you can also press buttons on the machine itself apparently.

joyvee - might want to comment more. Ozb user bought one and left a review on whirlpool.
