Got a 2 X 100$ Myer gift card, but i am not sure whether there is any worth buying in Myer, as most of them are very expensive and can get them for a better price outside.
I dont want to buy for the sake of using the card, earlier there was site called cardlimbo.com.au, now it is not …
any suggestions on how to make good use of this or any sites to sell this… thoughts please
Myer does price match, but note that their "cost price" is ridiculously high and very much non-negotiable. One item I was interested in, the RRP was $200, their 'cost price' was $170. The manufacturer (Aust website) had a sale for $140 with free delivery.
Best to use it on whatevers at further 75% off clearance sales.
Find a friendly staff member, give them a big smile … see if they'll let you buy a 'coles/myer gift card' with the myer gift card. Use the new card for petrol/groceries.
I don't know why everyone says you can't buy a gift card with a gift card. If this was a real thing, they would prevent it in the point-of-sale systems … but they don't … just need to find the right staff to hook you up.
tried that with few smiles…no, they have changed policy or something, did not budge…not allowed to buy a gift card with gift card…

Just need to switch out a prepaid eftpos card with the gift card when the salesperson isn't watching ;)
Can you just buy anything, but return it later and ask for a coles myer GC instead, or will they give you back a Myer GC?
They will refund you the same payment you made, so CC back to CC, cash back to cash. If you used a gift card, doesnt matter if its a Coles Myer Gift Card or Myers gift card, they'll give you a Myer Return card which can only be used at Myer.
Wait for one of the 40% off sales. Prices are decent then.
