Groupon failed to deliver my purchase and will not refund me

Hi All

I purchased a product from Groupon, received confirmation of purchase but never received the product. It appears that Australia Post stuffed up the delivery, sent it to the wrong delivery office who decided to Return to Sender. I have logged this with Groupon and Australia Post and have confirmation that the product was returned to Groupon warehouse.
Groupon have refused to send me the item I purchased ( stating it is out of stock, despite my item sitting in their returns dept!) and have only offered me a Groupon credit.

Can anyone advise how to escalate this complaint?

    Paypal dispute or Credit Card Chargeback, depending on how you paid; you have proof from Aus Post the item was never received.

    They do have the right to not send another but you are entitled to a full refund, not store credit. They are just testing your patience. I would call them and talk to a manager about the need to escalate matters to the credit card company.

  • I had a similar issue with them trying to offer store credit. Booked a boat cruise which I had to select the date. I was not allowed to vary the date.

    Come the date, the cruise was cancelled so I asked for a refund. They told me I wasn't entitled to one, so had to start threatening Fair Trading and they finally caved.

    I have just gotten off a chat with them. So frustrated and pissed off, I ordered an item using a promo code $10 off. It failed to deliver after 1 month so I said u know what I will give them another chance. They refunded me in groupon credit and I purchased the same item again this time I had to pay $10 with my credit card. I said that is OK, they failed to deliver the item again and now I'm pissed. They refunded me $10 instead of $60 and are now saying the 50 is in groupon credits. I said piss off I don't want groupon credit as I'm never using you guys again. They said they will get back to me in 3-5 days so I'm hoping they refund me to my credit card. I typed in google after the chat - groupon failed to deliver and I found your post.
