  • Nice deal.

    I believe Jetstar price matches any international flight the same day.

    Generally I don't like price matching but I am reluctant to fly Tiger.

    • why are you reluctant to fly Tiger?

      • +1
        • wow. Tiger by a long massive margin lol.

        • Isn't Tigers big claim to fame is that they have half the cancellations of their nearest competitor (jetstar) ?.

        • wow!!!

        • +1

          @slipperypete:

          I have seen some complaints against Qantas that are complete and utter lunacy, such as management steadfastly refusing to refund not even a cent after sitting in economy for operational reasons on a paid business class ticket. Despite this they are by far the best Airline by the complaints count. Best of a really BAD bunch I guess.

        • @LoopyLou:

          I have flown with Tiger quite a few times and have been lucky. I have had tickets cancelled with Jetstar but that has been luck of the draw.

          Just recently I flew with QANTAS on a trip that included domestic flights and a leg to the States. After this, I will avoid QANTAS like a plague. Their customer service was appalling as was their in-flight service. They have/are becoming a budget airline in the way they are modeling themselves. I was so shocked at the decline compared to other mainline carriers (Admittedly they were on time each sector and if they got canceled they would have provided alternatives).

          Yeah I guess best of a bad bunch maybe!! If traveling for business and getting to the destination is important then I guess stick with QANTAS or Virgin. Domestic is pretty good, especially if you can get a favorable ticket. You made a good point and in future I think I will consider paying a touch more to ensure reliability. However, for international flights they are dead ducks and are the Tiger Air of the international market!!

  • Flown tiger many times domestic. Same diff to others. International not tried though.
