    • did you use the discount? would of been 80$ with.

      • -1

No I didn't, that sucks. Is there a way to return them and buying them back? If not, well you don't always win do you?

        • +1

If you did store pickup and haven't collected them yet give them a call and cancel it, then just re-order. If you have already got them still might be possible to take them back but might not be worth the hassle.

        • @rakerr: Nahh, too much hassle anyway, thing is I'm not able to make calls as I'm hearing impaired. Still bought it cheaper than expected. Thanks though.

  • LG 60inch or KU6000 hmm

Or best tv for 1000-1400 KS 8000 is too much

  • Really considering the Samsung 65KS9000 4K TV. But the lack of 3D really is a downer for me.
I should just hold my nerve and wait for next years models…

    • +2

Isn’t 3D almost considered dead these days as far as TVs go? The 9 series isn’t considered worth he extra cash over the 8 series.

      • +1

It might be considered dead but I still enjoy it. As for the difference in the models apparently the 9000 handles the backlight scanning better which is a big deal to me when it comes to motion. Whether it's worth $500 more is obviously debatable but it's important to me. :P

        • Have a read of this in depth review - http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ks9000

Comparison at end, which gets repeated by several reviews. Backlight scanning is the same between them.

"The Samsung KS8000 is a better buy. It is almost as good as the KS9000 on all aspect, it just doesn't get as bright. The price difference is not worth it, so buy the cheaper KS8000."

    • …..arrh the age old dilemma of consumer electronics.

FYI you'll be waiting until second quarter and spending nearly twice as much.

      • I know it'll cost more if I wait. But there are still a few teething issues with HDR and gaming etc. that I hope will be sorted out in the next line of TV's.

    • Samsung has stopped producing 3D Tvs, I called them up today.

Just used this code and it worked, so this deal should be considered LIVE NOW.

TGG doing bait and switch. Oldest trick in the book

      • Link for the book?

    • +1

Ur lucky. The crap that I want to get is not in stock even.

  • +4

This would be a great deal if anything decent was IN STOCK!!!

    • yeah, very annoying to leave items listed on the store when not available…

      • +1

It's intentionally done to drive web traffic to their site. Google searches show their prices and words "in stock" but when u actually get to their website it's clearly out of stock. Just another bullshit tactic used smartly by the TGG who just flog other crap no one would normally buy.

        • Figured as much.

        • if the accc had any real power they would crack down on it by eBay store is 3rd party site so they can get away with it. That y I don't buy sqwat from TGG cos I know they have always been shifty buggers and bend the rules and can never get anything decent on sale that I want. I will go somewhere else and price match

  • Any good deals for DSLR cameras

    • Yes but none are probably in stock. Oh well

    Hi guys,

For the information of those of you who negged me, I can easily return it, and buy another one via eBay. ha ha

  • Was going to post Dyson v6 Absolute for people who missed out on Myer and Bing Lee sale but when i go to the page there is no buy it now button for the product(possibly due to low stock) but if you scroll down there is a buy it now button with item description when i click on it it takes me to a confirmation page which says "limited stock available" anybody knows if it would allow purchase? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dyson-209568-01-V6-Absolute-H…

Anyone know if Harvey Norman will price match? I doubt it as it's ebay, but it's their main competitor! I might try my luck and go in store.

    • +1

hi how did you go with the price match at HN?

      • Haven't had a chance to go yet as I'm at work during the day. Think they are open late night Friday. My plan was to hopefully get the price match and use the $100 credit from Amex.

        • good luck - please let us know how you go. Your plan is what I am hoping to do as well

        • No luck unfortunately. I checked with 2 stores. The sales people are pretty rubbish. Not really willing to listen or negotiate. As soon as you say eBay - that's end of conversation!

  • +2

Based on quick browse of the deal and reading the comments, barely anything noteworthy, but nearly 300 up votes, that sums up OzBargain in 2016, hoping 2017 is nothing like it.

    • +1

      It's not all about you

  • +1

Where's all the split systems gone :/

    • I found the same thing

    • I ended up going with the Panasonic C8kW/H9kW split for $1746 delivered as GoodGuys are running a promo for a $200 EFTPOS giftcard with certain Panasonic models. Spoke to many ppl (fridgy's and owners) about the units and haven't heard anything bad about them yet. Got quoted $500 for it to be installed (new home, back-to-back install).

  • I really hate this crappy deals
    wanted to buy budget dishwasher

  • Thinking of buying a Canon SLR with the 20% off deal. There is also a $100 cash back from Canon on the camera but wondering if this would still apply if purchasing from eBAY, anyone know?

    • Yes it does.you get a proper invoice

  • No listed Macbook! :(

  • +2

Thanks OP. I got the nutribullet 1700w for $222. Most of the other stores have it rrp at $299.

    • -1

Or u Could of got a 50$ blender that does the same lol

  • What are the shipping charges for The Good Guys (eBay) ? Are they fixed or per item? eBay Bing Lee's shipping charges kill the 20% off deal to some extent. I bought 2 items (Fridge and Washing machine) and I had to pay for shipping separately for both even when they were part of the same order and were delivered together. Even if they had to charge extra for a 2nd item, it should be incremental charge and not the full charge as much as the 1st item. It's ridiculous.

    • It's pretty expensive (>$100) per item for delivery on eBay, so what you'd want to do is select the In-Store Pick-up location (closest store to your place) and then go in and talk to them and arrange for delivery separately.

Because Paypal is strict with regards to warranty, a pick-up should be a pick-up. However, the store manager may be kind enough to take on that risk and arrange for delivery at a flat rate (say $50 for your entire order, regardless of how many whitegood you may have). And then charge you separately for the delivery.

      YMMV

  • No ipads listed?

Bugger - my son has it on the school book list for grade 4 next year.

  • +1

Thanks, my parents have been wanting a Dyson for awhile but I told them to wait for at LEAST a 20% off :)

I never knew ozbargain blocks VPN from replying and using the search function before… Have to use my mobile internet now :(
But I can understand it's for the greater good for us Aussies.

  • Why can't I apply the full 20% discount with the click and collect option? I have $1988 in the cart and with standard shipping the discount is $397.60 but if click and collect is chosen the discount is now $217.80.

  • How does delivery for large appliances work once you've clicked buy? Do they call you to arrange a suitable time?

    • +1

      Yep.

      • Thanks! Spewin' that the fridge I wanted won't fit though :(

  • +3

Thanks OP. Bought a weber family and a cover. There's my $500 spend requirement to get $250 cash back on my new CBA low rate credit card

  • Not cool. Just bought something from TGG during the 10% eBay deal.

    • Why, when they had 20% off?????

      • Cos it was probably in stock back then. No points having 20% off if there's nothing to buy

  • I bought a Moto G4 Plus yesterday morning around 11am from The Good guys ($329). If i waited a few hours I coulda had it cheaper :'(

    • Go back for the refund, nowadays nobody buy stuff from them without 20% discount from eBay.

    • +1

Moto G4 Plus is out of stock on their eBay store and has been since the sale started, don't worry you haven't missed out on anything.

    • I thought this was sneaky. Plenty of stock in store but they cut it from the Ebay store. Especially since they have an ad for it on the front page of their ebay store.

  • Any nice laptop deals?

I didn't have enough in the account i wanted to use, i go back now and it's $270.

Don't think I'll bother with it now

  • What are the chances of a Store honouring their eBay prices with the discount applied?

    • Zero.

I just called to ask about this as well as why so many products are shown as out of stock on their eBay store even though there is plenty of stock around according to their website.

I was told that they have capped the number of units they are selling at the discounted price and that those prices are only valid on eBay.

    • We tried our local store and they refused to even look at their computer saying they had no chance of matching it

  • Any recommendations for laptops on this 20% off deal in the sub $600 range post discount? Non-gaming use
