      That's unfortunate.
Has it been sent out yet?
Try cancel the order if it hasn't?
It may be easier this way, definitely can't hurt to try.. They have a i7-7500 not a 7200 though.. Even if this is better and cheaper they may do a jbhifi and say its not exactly the same.
You won't get your money back immediately though..
Had to wait like 3 weeks during an old price error for a lenovo edge purchase

      • I already received it last week on 7th Dec. I just rang that number spoke to customer service. Initially they said we will charge you 20% restock fee. But, I explained that, I don't want to return the laptop. He transferred me to another lady, she has raised price protection claim. I will come know either by Friday or next week, if it's approved or not. Fingers Crossed…!!

          Good luck :)
Do not be mad if it doesn't go through though, it is technically not identical, but you never know unless you try!

      How long is battery life??

      • +3

I haven't really used it for more than 2hrs straight. I didn't pay attention to how much battery was used in those 2hrs. I will do some more test tonight and will let you guys know.

I would be interested on this also.

  • Nice but is there a way to get 3 years on site warranty? 1 year depot seems like it's not worth it. I've had my Dell laptop for 5 years now. At about 2.5 years I had a graphics card problem and Dell fixed it on site - well worth it. 1 year warranty is just not enough IMO.

It's an option when you add it to the cart. 2 or 3 years on site. I think it's <$300.

  • 'If you would like to make this purchase in NZ the best price I could do is $1650.72.' ($1580 AUD)

Lenovo why so mad, charge $600+ AUD more to NZ when both come direct from china.

buy one. send to my address. I will forward to you for a small fee. nothing suss.

  • Can claim TRS? Thanks

  • How long will this take to ship? I ordered it last night. Is it one that needs to be built, or because I didn't customise anything they might have it in stock and ship straight away?

  • It has most the specs I like, though I will have to buy an external DVD drive to go with it.

Question is, am I better off waiting until after Christmas for more sales?

    • I think these days sales run all through the year, and after Christmas prices aren't that much cheaper given everyone hypes up about sales, they probably don't need to drop prices that much.

In any case, this won't arrive before Christmas anyway, since it takes a while to build I think.

      • im taking the risk and waiting till after xmas for a better deal.

        • I am going to do that too. I was interested in this deal, however the reviews for Lenovo itself are not good. Seems to be a lot of complaints about lack of customer service.

        • @FrugalBugger:
I Love this deal. Only reason im holding out is the weight. almost 2kg is a heavy laptop.

Anyone can find any similar laptops with good spec at $1000?

  • Is this the best option for me? I need a strictly business machine (excel + browser mainly) with GOOD BATTERY, SSD, FHD, 13+ screen. Up to $1k.

    • Does anyone know how to search for good battery? I mean how many cells etc do I look for? Often the retailers don't have enough info on their sites, I'm wanting something what will run most if not all day at work without charging.
  • Well I pulled the pin, thanks op for the deal much appreciated. I like the idea of the quality build and keyboard as I will mostly be typing on this thing. Shame about the battery but oh well seems you can't have everything in life :)

  • Placed my order on 14 December with a "6-9 business day" shipping estimate. Online status now says "Expected to Ship January 20, 2017".

Me too. I have to say the experience thus far with Lenovo has been awful. I was one of the first to order it (under 4 upvotes) and after almost a week, no updates. I contacted them today and they said there is a shortage on parts and will be late Jan before the expected shipping date. WTF. Not happy. Will be cancelling the order. If they treat new customers like this I would hate to go through a warranty claim.

  • I had a phone call from Lenovo yesterday to say that there would be a delay.
Didn't say that it would be 3 weeks though.

I had a call from Lenovo yesterday advising that it is on backorder and it won't arrive until late Jan or early Feb. Offered me an alternate product with only 8GB RAM for an extra $50 that could be shipped straight away. I told him thanks but no thanks. So much for arriving before Christmas. I asked him to upgrade it to the 570 deal but he advised that they are also on backorder. Pi$$ed off.

I placed an order when the deal came on. Was hoping to get it right after Christmas but no news until finally an email came yesterday stating i will get my E470 on 4 Jan.
Just got a call this morning saying that due to overwhelming orders, my delivery is delayed to 4 Feb instead of 4 March originally plus there's nothing they can do about it. They offered me to take a lower specs model otherwise they will accept my order cancellation.

I just tracked my delivery again and it still says 4 Jan.
What's happening Lenovo? Please don't trick us to place orders and then try to change us to accept lower specs models. Not good enough.

  • I have been corresponding with Lenovo customer service. They basically wants me to accept a lowet specs model with minimal price reduction or cancel my order. If i confirmed to go ahead with the order, they can't confirm when it will be delivered..how can this be possible at all? I think they made a mistake with the offer so now trying to get customers to accept lower specs models or cancel for refund.

I plan to raise this to ACCC soon.

  • Just sharing with people here.

I've tracked my order and it says delivery is 6 Jan.
The order appears to have progressed as it was being flown around but once it got to my location everything stopped.

I've emailed and left them a message via phone, but haven't heard back.

I haven't been contacted by Lenovo with any offers, upgrade/downgrades.

Definitely not impressed with their delivery.
