      • Enjoy it while bigW are still around!

    • I assure the staff are told of deals like this, I presume the manager of the department hasn't actioned the promotional prices as there are multiple TV's on special atm.. (65' polaroid 4k <$800, 55' JVC curved 4k <$800, various Viano and JVC's as mentioned to name a few..)

      • Stafford wasn't told (QLD Northside), He found it pretty quick though and once I walked out the store phones went into overdrive

He couldn't find them at first, but persisted with me and was very helpful
put one aside for me, being polite is key.

  • whats the big W item code?

    • +1

      From calling Bankstown, it's 493087.

Person on the phone at the call centre though said it came up as a clearance item out of stock everywhere even when I saw people on here saying they got the last one or a there were a few left.

      • thanks, absolutely no stock in WA

edit: must be why she couldn't find the model the first time I called, maybe only finds if stock.

        • Shame, some stores won't even hold one for you either.

        • +2

Just got one from Riverton WA
Should still have a couple out the back

Just picked up one from Kingsway WA. 2 left now. They won't reserve because they say it's a sale item.

        • +2

          7 left at karrinyup

        • +2

          @fastnbulbous:

thanks, managed to get one from riverton.

bargain with gift cards on top.

        • @fastnbulbous: Has it VGA connection for PC?

        • +1

          @compugrid:
It has 4x HDMi and component connectors

Most PCs in the last 5 years should have HDMI!

        • @compugrid: Hi no VGA so sorry

  • Just got the last one in Cairns…PS4 pro testing time

  • Picked one up - thankyou again OP! Will be replacing my power guzzling Samsung plasma so probably have higher than average expectations. Will update once I've had a go of it. :)

  • Thanks OP. Just brought one from highpoint. Theres still 2 left.

  • 2 left in MacArthur Square Campbelltown.

  • +1

At least 5 at Tweed City but marked at 469. I was tempted but just don't need a TV!

    • Just a heads up, I saw another user say they got one from Grafton that was also listed for $469 but scanned at the sale price. So I would scan it just to check.

Then again you did say you didn't even need a TV.

  • Just purchased one of these, is anyone experiencing horizontal screen bleeding through the tv in about 4 spots? any time there is fast paced scene on dtv or hdmi it comes up

    • No issues at all with mine

    • Has it VGA connection for PC?

      • +1

        Has it VGA?

        • +1

          VGA!!!

      • Hello - no VGA!

  • +1

There are two left at Big W Coffs Harbour Park Beach Plaza.

  • Finally replacing my crappy 55" Samsung Commercial LCD (have had it tooo long - 5 years + now).

Big-W are pretty good for reservations. Give them a call, give them a plead story and tell them you will be by soon and they should hold them for you for up to 48 hours. Heading out now to pickup the LCD, hopefully its still there (was the last one).

Be nice to their staff on the phone and it helps.

    • How much you selling your old TV for? Is it still worth using nowadays?

  • +2

    Confirmed
    Does Deep Colour (HDMI Enhanced)
    Also Does HDMI CEC

  • Chullora and Bankstown both out of stock.

    • They still had some from comment below

  • Is this good to use as a PC monitor?

  • +1

Anyone can recommend a bargain / cheap corner wall mount for this tv? Just realised this isn't going to work with my little 32" tv cabinet :p. Willing to wait for shipping if it's an online shop.

  • +1

Parkmore (keysborough) has like 2 left after I purchased one.

    • Thanks. I just got one. There was one left 15 mins ago.

      • +1

That's tempting enough to go down in the morning.

        • Time to go! Good luck! :)

        • That's what I did but the person at the counter said they sold out yesterday :( Tried calling Eastland as well but couldn't get through to Entertainment.

  • None at Livingston WA

  • Western Victoria

    Sunbury - SOLD OUT
    Melton - SOLD OUT
    Sunshine - SOLD OUT
    Watergardens - SOLD OUT
    Maribyrnong - SOLD OUT

If anyone else in Vic knows of a store with some stock please share :)

    • Highpoint Vic still has 1 left

      • Interesting. Called them about 30mins ago and told me nothing in stock. Either holding for someone who never came or couldn't be bothered over the phone.

    • Anyone know Werribee or Altona Meadows? Struggling to get through on the phone.

    • Altona Meadows - SOLD OUT
      South Yarra - SOLD OUT
      Broadmeadows - SOLD OUT
      Epping - SOLD OUT

    • I just picked one at Melton today?

I'd advise ppl to double check as some staff members there may have no idea.

      Cheers

  • Just picked up 2 at Sth Yarra Vic, I may need to off load one but they still had 3 or 4 in-stock as at 4pm

    • Thanks for the heads up.
Attempted to call, phone off the hook, must be busy. Not sure if I want to risk the long drive on the bet they have something when I get there.

      • Call and ask to be put through to Audio Visual, young cutie there was very helpful.

        • Still couldn't get through. Rocked up at about 5:30pm. 2 Ozbargainers in front of me in line - lucky they were together and wanted 1 only, so we got the last two, cheers mate!

    • Hey, just sent you a PM

  • Anyone know anywhere in Eastern Melbourne with stock still?

    • Just got the last one on the shelf from Lilydale. Didn't think to ask if there were more, but this was the last one on the shelf.

  • +1

I just picked one up from Chullora on NSW, they have 5+ units left the guy told me. Got it for $300 with my woolies staff card. Sccooreee!

  • Got mine at Spearwood in WA. Magnificent price and great TV for the money

  • Thanks OP, picked one up a Chullora Big W NSW earlier!
They had 2 50inch FHD at $349 when i picked this one up

  • is This Brand, the Japanese JVC?

    • +2

No, its the same company that appears to sell to Bauhn for Aldi though

      • +2

Hitachi/Akai/Philips/JVC/Polaroid are essentially all the same thing now.

From memory they are all made via a company called Tempo. Big failing brands sold out their naming rights.

So no it's not really a JVC. But 99% of people think it is. Clever marketing trick this one.

  • Got 2 from big w tugerranong canberra with amex. Now all i need is another 150 ish dollars to get my 50 dolla cashback. Thanks ozbargain.

    • Oh and 6 stock left there

    • Has it VGA connection for PC?

      • +1

        Getting any VGA?

      • Hi no VGA

  • +1

Would buy but I can't justify it. I never watch TV much anymore and still getting by fine on an old 720p. Have a 42" 1080p which gets no use as a spare

    • +1

Once you go 4k you don't look back
its night and day compared to 1080p

I watched netflix on it today, awesome is all I can say

      • No I already can. Just never home to appreciate it.

        • I know that feeling
I use it for a monitor, seems to work okay
Cheaper Samsung Seconds panels are making their way into Bauhn, JVC and a few other lower end brands, I am happy enough with it

      • When twitch goes 4k I will probably jump on it.. also when my internet can afford it cough I mean run it stream it..

Not bad for Ubiqiti Point to Point over 5ghz into a VDSL DSLAM
9km link back to Brisbane City

          Kills the NBN

        • @shawncro 222: wait what?! Show me your ways oh obi want

        • @AlienC:

          Its pretty impressive
We had our building backboned recently for the new service and tbh I am happy with the outcome

I can see why they call it airfibre :)

        • @shawncro 222: oh does this need like direct line of sight to the exchange or cabinet or whatever?

          How does this work?

        • @AlienC:

Our building has been wired up via cat6

Cat6 from Apartment down to VDSL DSLAM downstairs
Ethernet cable runs to antenna on rooftop and connects back to tower at the other end of link, that is fibre optic fed

If you live in an apartment block / know apartments in poor areas let me know as I can try and get the service installed for you there

They don't do single dwellings yet due to cost but apartments are tall and have good line of sight.

Couldn't be happier with the service so far

Its basically VDSL but with antennas providing our backhaul

        • @shawncro 222: where can I read up about this service? What do you pay per month?

        • @Jackson:

I pay 84 for 500gb 100/40 but they do have bigger plans
Its a service called Ignite broadband
If you're in an apartment block I can certainly see if we can get you guys connected

          Where are you located?

  • Any stock in SA? I'll try ring a few stores first thing in the morning! It'd be a good TV for my bedroom! :D

    • Closed today, can't confirm
      Try your luck

    • 7 at Marion at the moment.

      • Thank you. I'll try TTP tomorrow, hopefully one still there!

  • If this was 55" i'd get it in a flash. Although this is very tempting.

    • I know right.. here I am waiting and sitting looking for a 75" that will probably come in five more years at this price band lul FML..

  • Just unboxing the TV. Great replacement for my DickSmith I bought exactly 2 years ago for $224 haha. Picture quality is sharp I gotta say, though I think I got one or two line of darker grey pixel on dark colour background or sth like that, don't know how to describe, but not very noticeable for me. Great gaming on Xbox One S, comparing to Dicksmith, the input lag on this one is far greater. Great bargain!

    • Has it VGA connection for PC?

      • +1

        How about that VGA then?

        • +1

No as I have already replied to compugrid in a previous post he / she made
VGA to HDMI are cheap enough

    • I think you mean "far lower"

    • I bought the same dick Smith one. I still use it and it is great. How much better is this one?

      • far better I would say. The motion when I play is smoother, color quality is better too, and its bigger as well. Overall, I don't regret upgrade to this one. If I gave Dicksmith a 6/10 for the price vs quality 2 years ago, I would give this one a 8/10.

  • Bettter than soniq?

    • Seems to be a good set
      Input lag is low
Warranty is only 1 year but I paid via Creditcard so should protect me to some degree under consumer law

    • +1

That disgusts me that people do that who live so close, people are smart enough to know the pricing as it stands today and will most likely not buy the product

I am the first person who bought from Everton Park store on Stafford Road
The staff seemed to be getting smashed with calls
He was like, the ozbargain deal, had it sorted for me in 10 mins

I will admit he was smart enough to serve people in store first wanting the TV, was a line of 10 behind me after I made my reservation early in the morning

It was a very busy morning for the team and they did well, even serving people in store and taking phone calls, it sold out by the time I had left

      • Haha WERE YOU THE GUY IN THE HAWAIIAN SHIRT?!?

        • Nah mate, I was there pretty early
Blue top and Yellow pants :)

Left before anyone else got there, was laughing at the poor attendant going are you calling about the ozbargain deal?

        • +1

@shawncro 222: oh! Sorry my apologies - in that case.. myself and another ozbargainer actually got the last ones from out back ;p

      • +1

If anyone in Bris wants to purchase mine at the same price, let me know. I bought from Robina on the gold coast as an impulse buy and no longer want it…still in box and receipt too lol

        • +1

I'd be keen to buy it off you if you haven't sold it yet, all the stores I went to where sold out.

        • @NTS:

          Sounds good!

    • funny enough the guy "Jay" was extremely rude when I caught him out
Keep sharing these posts guys, it stops people being ripped off
