Our pool cleaner is driving us mad so we are going to buy a robotic one as people we know who have them think they are great . I have been watching prices for the past 2 months thinking I can see out the summer worse case but they never seem to be marked down . Even if theres a 20% off on ebay etc there are never any in the stores listed . Anyone had any luck picking one up a bit cheaper than full price ? Local pool shop would give me a whopping $30 off ….
No thats a suction one , I have been looking at the Zodiac CX20 or Dolphin does a similiar one. Sick of the hoses and getting stuck in corners steps etc
I don't know about adding the extra complexity of electronics needing a power lead into something that lives below water.
We have a "Pool Cleaner",not sure of the brand, with two blue wheels on it. I think it works well, seems to get to all areas except the steps. Climbs the walls and although 'analogue' is a form of robotic cleaner with a fairly simple operation. It has gears and cams in it that allow one wheel to slow or reverse in a pattern that ends up sending the device all round the pool. Unless the electric robotic cleaners have some sort of scanner system on them it will just be doing what ours does, but with an added level of complexity and energy consumption.
Friend of mine has the pool cleaner and swears by it too. I did a home trial of the dolphin and it was amazng the difference in my pool after 2hrs after just plugging it in and throwing it in !
