I'll chip in a few dollars towards your fare and send you a t-shirt you have to wear.

It's the main transit hub of Africa. And nearby in Durban in 2022 the commonwealth games will be there.

What will you do for 5 years in Johannesburg whilst waiting for the Games to start?

why are you always so negative?

      • -1

        it's just a question.

        • +1

"who in their right mind" is overly negative. it assumes there is nothing of value in south africa, and that people should not want to go there.

if you have nothing nice to say, maybe dont comment next time?

          No it's not.

I'm asking which sane person would want to go there.

          Stop making stuff up…

As I said, it was a question, not a statement…

This is a pretty decent price. Paid much higher than this last October. Hopefully this sale make a reappearance this coming November :)

Managed to get a (whole) dollar better through price match by quoting price and website (via zuji at that stage) with flight centre, for those wanting a bricks and mortar store

  • Going in August, paid $1350 with Emirates.

never understood how pricing works like this
pretty sure there is only one flight a day on Qantas Direct SYD to JNB

why is it cheaper from Adelaide which requires additional domestic flight
anyone in the know care to explain?

    • not sure but there might be another airline offering ADL->JNB lower than 1155 ?

      • there are no other airlines flying that route
        ADL>SYD>JNB

i know that Qantas is the only airline that flies SYD>JNB direct
(ive had to book this flight several times over last couple of years, no choice but Qantas)

other Airlines would flying anywhere else in Australia>Per>JNB
