    Hey friend,

Avantree have the best quality bluetooth transmitters from what I have found. I have a transmitter and receiver myself and I use it to transmit my projector sound to my Bluetooth JBL speaker and i also use it to bluetooth my iphone to my home stereo in receive mode.

The device you are looking for you can find here:

Bluetooth Multipoint Transmitter - Priva III

  • You're talking about simultaneous Bluetooth streaming? I was actually checking up on that yesterday.

Sadly, I don't think the Bluetooth specs support this feature, however straightforward it may seem to build in software. There's no equivalent to 'multicasting'.

You could invest in a pair of Bluetooth transmitters, split your headphone output, pair both transmitters to headphones, and go that way. Although a cheap transmitter is still usually $20-30 each. I got a pair of 'Arealer' brand transmitter/reciever combos to mock up a 'wireless cable' solution for our church, but in our case the transmitter latency was too much and put the projector video stream out of sync.

If you're wandering around at home, AND you've got an Xbox One, you can use the controllers as wireless streaming receivers to multiple users. It's not particularly portable though.

  • Bose have recently released an update that allows you to share music over two of their BT headphones. It's called "Music Share":

"Running with a friend? Sharing a playlist at the office? Focusing with a friend at the library? With Music Share, you can connect two wireless Bose headphones to share music from your mobile device. It simplifies splitting music from one source, and you can do it right from the app. Listening with a friend just got a whole lot better."

It's app driven and I think it only works with Audio sources (not video as there would probably be sync issues)

Unfortunately it would mean getting two sets of their headphones, so if you were looking to use your own this won't help

  • Ok thanks I think i found what I am looking for after searching term "Bluetooth transmitter" in ebay.

Found this (cant link to ebay) item number
    262634265844

Its a "Multi-point Bluetooth 4.0 Audio Music Transmitter For Smart TV DVD MP3 Receiver"

Looks like it connects to a phones headphone jack and then pairs to at least 2 bluetooth devices, in my case 2 headphones hopefully.

    This could be the solution?

    • Yes this could just work but be warned these devices are very poorly made and this particular item does not speak about lag at all. If your listening to music then yeah ok no worries but if your watching a movie it will be painful. I suggest to get it right the first time and buy an avantree product that garentee low latency/lag so what your watching doesn't look out if sync with the audio. You also get aptx which means much better sound quality.
