Received an email from Kogan with this deal for of Pioneer VSX930 which is a 4K Dolby Atmos 7.2ch model. Same deal can be bought from dicksmith (bught by kogan) as well here https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/pioneer-72-channel-av-re…

I'm thinking to get this to use it in 5.2.1 atmos configuration, but not sure whether i should get a newer model or take this deal. I think it's a good price.

    Judging by Amazon UK, the newer model of this (DTS-X via firmware update it says) can be had for less money. Given that Kogan don't have exactly the best rep on warranties, etc. and Amazon are good, at least on DOA, I'd be looking elsewhere. Or waiting for Amazon AU to launch.

    This model was released in 2015. It has similar features to the newer VSX-1131 but is missing HDR(firmware update), DTS-X, Chromecast, and some of the internet music streaming options.

      i didn't know that it lacks HDR, thanks for letting me know as i was planning to use it with my xbox one S

        This does do HDR, it was added in a firmware update. Great unit.
