Free Dog Microchipping for The First 50 City of Joondalup Residents [Sunday 26 March at Lexcen Park, Ocean Reef][WA]

The City of Joondalup Dogs Day Out Festival returns to Lexcen Park, Ocean Reef on Sunday 26 March.

The annual festival runs from 9.00am-1.00pm but prior to it commencing, owners can take their four-legged friend on a leisurely 3.2km walk, starting and finishing at Lexcen Park and taking in some of the City’s spectacular coastal sites along the way. Check in for the walk is at 7.30am for an 8.00am start. Registrations are essential and can be done online at joondalup.wa.gov.au until 20 March.

Dogs Day Out activities include:

-Market stalls and exhibitions offering the latest dog products and services;
-Obedience training tips and tricks;
-Behavioural and agility demonstrations;
-Competitions, including the best-dressed dog and best dog tricks and dog grooming.

City Rangers will also be on hand to answer dog-related questions and there will be food and drinks and free doggie bags on offer (while stock lasts).

Free micro-chipping will be available to the first 50 City of Joondalup residents in attendance, courtesy of WA Pet Project.

      If your dog runs away and gets caught by ranger, they can return the dog to you. In Joondalup you are also required to register your dog with the council (for the same reason I guess).
