Aberlour 12YO Scotch Whisky $59.99 at Vintage Cellars

150

Have been trawling for scotch specials for a while now, and this one came as a surprise.

Currently $68.99 at Dan Murphy's, but they will price match it for $58 and you can use a discounted gift card from Cashrewards.

Highly recommended (4.7/5) by the reviewers on the DM website. A Highland scotch with 40% alcohol.

    That's excellent value for money.

  • How do you price match when placing an Order online (to get cashrewards)?

You can't price match with DM online, but you can buy a $58 gift card from cashrewards beforehand.

    • You can call them to price match when making an order, but can't combine that with cashrewards rebate because is is not an online purchase. You can pay for the phone order with a gift card that you bought at a discount via the cashrewards site.

    • can only do so with click+collect:

order online to receive cashback, then at collection, ask for a price match to receive a refund of the price difference

      :)

      • Who are you quoting? Is this confirmed as working or is it conjecture?

Sorry was more just trying to highlight it for others - I've done it a number of times myself :)

  • Seems to get good reviews. Not being a whiskey snob, I personally like the blended malts around this price range, Monkey Shoulder, Green Label and even Blairmhor wasn't that bad.

Might have to give this a shot, few bottles to go through first though.

    • I'd put it above all those… All we need now is an AMEX statement credit.

  • Is DM going to price match?

  • No Click and Collect Option.. Zzz…

  • Not trying to be picky, but the title has a spelling error. Correct spelling is "Aberlour".
For those who don't know, 'Aber' is common in Scots (and Welsh).

    Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aber_and_Inver_(placename_elements).

Aberlour is a nice malt and good value at this price.

  • This is one of my favourite scotches to have neat or with a little bit of ice.
    It's got fruity undertone.
