At first of all, i have to thanks to all you kind patience and trust, it's a long time from 3-24 to now and many people still wait.
As you can see that our last deal for xiaomi laptop have some huge delayed issues and waste lots of user Valuable Time.
it's undeniable truth and i apologize for that deeply. i'm promise too many times to solve it but break it agian and again.
and here are final solution for that:

1.Due to batteries issue, our ship team need shiped it by normal postal service(normally take 7-30 business day)

our customer service will contact everyone whose package still didn't shiped and you can choose re-send or refund.

2.compensation:

for those choose re- send: 3% value of the orders with no minimum spend
for those choose refund: 3% value of the orders with minimum spend which means when you get $20 reward you can use it to buy $40 products
i know this won't satisfied everyone, but that's all i can strive for you.

all refund will process in time and you don't need worry we disappear

      Had the same thing happen to me - except they told me it would be shipped no later than 16th of April! I contacted customer service and they confirmed it had already been shipped to them from their supplier and that it should be sent out 'in a few days'. Hoping that means early April rather than mid-April arrival. Also hope it will come with an AU plug as per the latest rep response below.

      They do invoice in the non discounted amount which seems bizarre as well. New this seemed like too good an offer to be true.

  • Did people pay via PayPal? How do you make sure it charges your card in USD and not AUD?

    • In PayPal i set up my preferences for my 28 degrees card to not use any currency conversion. It was a while ago now, so not sure exactly where the settings were. So now when paying in PayPal i can choose with my default (bank account) in AUD, or if I choose the 28 degrees card it just says "providers currency exchange rates" or something and charges in whatever currency the seller was charging me in.

    Hey Ozbargain community.
    I've decided to cancel my order for one very important reason - the declared amount of the device when shipped will be the FULL price BEFORE coupons. I asked via Ticket which value would be noted on the package and they said $1028AUD for me (I paid for shipping insurance because I've never shopped with this seller before). Once it lands in Australia I'd have to pay +10%gst + other costs related to releasing the item from customs.

    Further, it looks like Cashrewards have deleted the "40LITBA" coupon from the list of accepted/acknowledged coupons, and I haven't received confirmation from Cashrewards acknowledging my purchase in 7 days.

    I've gone to AliExpress which now have it listed for $955 shipped from the official Xiaomi Mi store, + 7% cashback from Cashrewards bringing it down to $888.

    • Shouldn't it say ~670 USD?

      You've got me questioning my decision at the last moment. 8% CR isn't insignificant.

        • @sorasora: They were both same price after cashback was considered. I chose AliExpress due to their quotable sales numbers from the direct store (9000+) and the slighly faster shipping estimate. Also, they had stock!

    Has anyone had theirs sent yet? i ordered on the 24th, and it's been "packaging" since the 29th.

    Definitely feels shady to call this "expedited shipping" when they take forever to just ship the damn thing. Today is the 7th business day since ordering…

        Weird how they mentioned the word "backorder" for you, if it has been saying 'packaging'.

        They have 21.5 hours before their "48 hours" thing is up. I wonder, if I had messaged them when it first said 'packaging' on the 31st, would they have said the same thing?

        • Not sure if they would've said the same thing for your case. What annoys me is that I spoke to the rep who posted this deal, MiniInTheBox, and he/she told me on the 29th that the order would be shipped within that night or the next day. After a few days without any progress change, I tried to contact the rep but they have now gone AWOL.

Raised a ticket and was advised on the 29th that it had been shipped to your warehouse and would be sent out to me 'in a couple of days'. Nothing has happened since then. Starting to get concerned it's not going to be shipped at all.

    Anyone from the late shipment got theirs yet? or not?

    My tracking still just says it was picked up thursday night, the 6th. Technically today is the 4th business day, but I'm pretty sure the ships still run through the weekend anyway…

    I hope I get it today, I never thought the wait would be this long overall -_- .

    • It's the 5th business day for my order today. Haven't received it yet either. Tomorrow will be three weeks since I placed the order and made payment tomorrow. Not an unusually long time for something from China/HK but disappointing because fast shipping was advertised.

      I don't have that email yet, but I assume I'll get it too. googling says SF Express don't allow lithium ion batteries via Air. Is SF Express air mail?

        They voluntarily emailed me. I thought it was one of those fake spam emails since it poorly formatted with symbols all over the place. Incredibly disappointed with LITB's service. They should've used a more reputable courier like DHL so we can track the status every step of the way.

        • Answering my own question, it looks like those that received theirs had it sent by DP Worldwide (posted above). So perhaps our orders will need to be reshipped as SF Express will refuse them all?

        • @mightyboy: It sure seems that way. I'm totally confused why customs denied SF express but not DP worldwide shipment.

          @slong: I don't think it's customs denying the shipment. SF Express has collected the items for shipping from LightInTheBox, but then realised they contain Lithium Ion batteries and refused to ship them. They're sending them back to LightInTheBox who will have to use a different shipping company such as DP Worldwide who it would seem is happy to ship lithium ion batteries.

          Completely unacceptable delays considering Expedited 5 day shipping was advertised.

        • @mightyboy: Oh that makes sense then. I was under the impression the entire time that it'd been picked up from their warehouse and loaded onto the cargo plane.

          @Birdseye: morning dear, due to the fire of the DHL HongKong warehouse, the shipping relate batteries are more strict. so the ship team is checking if there have any other reliable way to send the package.

          3.2:SF的退货已经确认今天晚上从香港机场退货,明天一早可以送到香港仓
          3.3:已经从系统抓取相关订单信息,数据如附件。请星艳,茫茫关注这些订单,并和客户做好沟通。
          3.4:已经安排深圳仓人员明天去香港仓加班处理,重新换单发货并解决其他客服确认的降级发货订单

    In the same boat here. Ordered 3 weeks ago. Last Thursday after following up by creating a ticket (twice) my status changed to 'In Transit' and and is stuck on 'Picked up'. I've been promised a lot of things that haven't happened.

    Haven't received the message from SF express as above.

    Regardless, we've not received what we paid for and as such LightInTheBox needs to take action.

    MiniInTheBox, how will you be compensating us for this issue?

    • I wonder if that "complain to a supervisor" link actually does anything.

      Clearly we're all screwed, customer service is going to be useless handling this matter once the shipments are returned. Did we all pay by paypal at least?

      btw it does say the rep was online, a couple hours after i messaged him. seems he noped the (profanity) out perhaps?
