neg because most stores up their price already

next time ebay should give us 50% off code while the listed sellers can up the price by 101%

  • +3

rofl… yep… prices have gone up on something I was planning to get at the next one of these… what a joke

    • +2

Good on you. You did not neg the deal because some products price were jacked up. There are still items that are cheaper in this deal.

Is the cup half empty or half full?

      • +1

Yup, at the end of the day if it works out to be the cheapest price available it is still a deal.

      • i haven't voted on the deal either way… so whats your point?

  • +2

Ugh.. Wish it was 20% across the site.. Don't need anymore tech!

  • any good deals for backpacks? I am currently looking for something that can fit my laptop (15 inch), and other stuff for uni…

  • -4

People stop whinging about seller jacking up the price during an eBay sale, we're here long enough to know that this is now the NORM. JUST DON'T BUY IT.

  • I have camera gadget would like to purchase but they increased prices. Not good gem.

  • +10

Totally ridiculous the ACCC has not fined these companies for bait and switch tactics on price jacking. This doesn't even seem grey area; it's just illegal.

    • They are probably forgiven as long as the all are registered for GST after 1 July 2017 and pay their taxes on the money they scam on time.

    • Its not illegal. The retailer has never put anything on special. Ebay gave a discount code.

This isnt a sale. You could try ASIC and see if there is anything listed under terms and conditions but i highly doubt there is.

Unless its stipulated in the policy t's and c's from Ebay there is no wrong doing.

  • No search links are working

    • +1
    • With the supplied search link, after loading simply type what you want to search and it will work..

Essentially does not work when initially loaded as there is no 'search term' entered yet…

      Hope it's of help… Enjoy!

  • +1

Fair play to ryda-online! Saw nofrillsydney removed quite a few listings around 9.30am but fortunately ryda have kept theirs, allowing me to make a nice little saving on a new camera.. cheers OP! :)

    • -1

You know ryda and nofrills are connected…

  • +1

After discount Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2 is $588 with free delivery. That's cheaper than MSY.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331054539698

  • Got iPhone 7 32G at $863.20. Pretty sweet. Ausluck.

  • Anyone know if there's any good Dyson V8 absolute sale in any of these links??? Or anywhere at the moment???

  • Hey guys,
I'm looking to take advantage of this offer to purchase a Ryzen 7 1700 from the tech stores. Still need to see which one has the best price.
Does this come with a stock CPU cooler ?

    • +2

The 1700 comes with a stock cooler (but the 1700X does not). From the search, I think FutuOnline is the only retailer selling these in the deal though. 1700 for $400, which is pretty good.

      • Thanks !

    • +1

bought mine from futu with prompt delivery @400

      • Cool. Thanks man.

Would you recommend a MB/RAM for this. Sorry, I am new to the RYZEN stuff.

        • Corsair LPX ram is solid, probably get it in the 2666-3200, although you should look into whether the RAM speed/voltage issues have been resolved. But really, any reputable brand/line should be fine since I haven't heard of any product specific issues.

For motherboards I always prefer Asus, and have used both the Gigabyte Aorus and Asus ROG X370 boards. The Asus bios and interface is a lot better and the feature set is also better, but it comes at a premium (am3 cooler support, slightly better overclocking, better m.2 location). Asus also seems like they are more on top of updating their Ryzen platforms.

The Fidelio X2 headphones that KGElectronics has is an actual bargain at $238.40 (after voucher). Cheapest I've seen these elsewhere is around $350AUD, often priced around $500. These headphones review very highly with most audiophile sites.

Bought Samsung Gear S3 Classic for $359.20 excluding the 1.3 cashback.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/182465891309

After TRS works out around $310+ for me.

Too bad didn't have the frontier version.

Only 3 left. They didn't raise the price!

    • +2

Seem like they just raised the price from $449 to $526.00. Lucky for me and one other!

  • +1

    how good is "buymobileau"

planning to buy one plus 3T

    • +1

They have a 91.2% positive feedback on eBay…that's a bit of a worry.
      Also, OnePlus 3T 3003 or 3010?

    • +2

      TERRIBLE.

<600 sales and 91%, you have a 1 in 10 chance of being screwed, and since they're new to eBay con sales, I'd say 50/50 chance of being screwed.

    • Hidden away in the delivery tab (not main description nor warranty).

We source our stock internationally according to the best price and availability, allowing us to offer significantly discounted prices. Items come with a local adapter (where possible) when the included plug is for a different region. This process is also known as parallel importation and we offer local Australian and New Zealand warranty and support to provide a similar product to local stock at a much cheaper price.

Also, they are charging more on Ebay than on their own site.

      • I recently emailed them some questions about a Samsung a9 pro I wanted to get from them. The responses were - handset sourced from around the world (so can't tell exact country the handset will be from), no ETA can be provided, can't tell if the model will have b28, seller 1 yr warranty, service centre in Sydney. Decided not to get it.

        • Fyi, mine arrived in good condition yesterday. Huawei M3 sourced from HK. Looks good so far. Crosses fingers.

    • Took a jump. Will find out when I get mine. I got a huawei m3 64gb lte

  • +12

UE boom 2 at itglobalsale went from $185 to $216 at 10am. Screw them

  • +5

Itglobalsale just jacked up the price of blueant soul headphones by 18 percent. Was 128 an hour ago, now 151.. So dodgy!

  • +1

Getting an error "This code can't be applied to your order." at checkout. Does this mean the deals not active yet or the item I want doesn't qualify? It's a camera lens from one of the named stores :/

    • +1

Never mind appears that the lens appears in the 20% off listing on ebays site but the seller is not actually part of the sale. Dumb…..

      • Yeah, just found that out too. Ted's and camerastore-australia are both listed, but seems like the code doesn't apply. The Oly EM10 mark ii would have been a great price too, oh well :(

    • You don't need a code, the price you're seeing is plus 20% the original. Same thing.

  • +4

Got 2 ubiquiti g3 ip camera from warehouse_1_online
    No price jack up.

  • So, instead of all the doom & gloom, what did you buy from this deal?
    Example 1

  • +1

I bought Samsung EVO 1TB SSD for $399 from PC Byte

    • +1

      Received on 28/4. All good.

  • Purchased a Panasonic GH5 this morning, went to buy another one for a friend and now the listing is removed. I messaged and the reply was that it wasn't meant to be listed but I still will have mine honored. Yeah, well I expect nothing less but should have got 2 but didn't have the Paypal funds…

    • what's the price you got it for? i could probably get it for $2400 AU stock with the current sale, is that a good price ?

  • What's the point of the sale if they increase the price?

    • and can't they be reported for doing this?

      • It has happened on every sale. I believe not until eBay creates a rule about it, they're allowed to.

  • +16

Futu online raised the Ryzen 7 1700 price from $479 to $500 and now to $520
    Bunch on Aholes

    Just lodged a complaint https://www.accc.gov.au/contact-us/contact-the-accc/report-a…

If more people did the same then maybe these would not happen so frequently

    • Did anyone bought before the price hike?
As meme goes: 1 in 50 wins prize, rest gets dirty nappies ?

    • +1

I complained about Kogan raising prices a couple of sales ago, didn't hear shit from ACCC.

        • That little fine didn't mean shit to them. They've continued the same garbage afterwards. Fine needs to be significantly increased.

        • +1

          @watwatwat:

That's true, but it means it's not getting completely ignored.. and the ACCC may do something about further complaints, or complaints about other companies.

    • Saw this price increase too…

  • Good price on iPhone 7 128gb Australia stock about $983 not many left in stock

  • +1

P57x-1070-701s for $2239.20 delivered. Good price considering it's about $2799 elsewhere.

  • +4

Well my item wasnt price jacked.

Just got 32% off as it was already on special for 12%.

    Item: Xbox One Elite Controller
    Shop:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262812545628
    Price before sale: $175
    Full RRP $199
    Price after discount: $140.
    Shipping $7

  • +1

Got a Galaxy s7 32gb from LuvYourPhone for $490. Pretty good value, shipping from Aus so should come this week. Only one left at the time of purchasing.

    • +2

I picked up one of those too! Received the tax invoice shortly after purchasing so, with CashRewards (-$8) and TRS (-$55), it comes down to $423 - certainly seems like a bargain to me :-)

      Unfortunately, all sold out now.

      • I forgot CashRewards, what a rookie error!

        • Pretty sure by managing to get the deal, you saved more than the $8 lost.

Given we ordered before 1.30pm, going to be interesting to see whether they manage to deliver so quickly.

        • @k_leb: So, to update, mine got delivered this afternoon which was in line with their next day policy. Phone seems to be in perfect condition (as far as I can tell) so am very, very, happy.

  • +5

    Looking to buy a GTX1080.

From Shopping Express it's $799 (discount code not applicable): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331877022398
From Futu (the same company) it's $899 (less 20% off). http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331956616130

Again there are price hikes in play here. Purchase history of the Futu listing shows that the card was $799 as recently as April 10: http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item…

    Looks like I buy elsewhere.

  • Any good deal on a phone with dual sims both 4g capable plus NFC?

  • Anyone know if this mini pc is any good, looking for something to run Foxtel go? Thanks

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-Windows-10-Mini-PC-Win-Pro-…

    • +1

i believe foxtel go runs using Silverlight? min specs for silverlight says "Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz or higher processor" https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install…

I looked at the passmark benches for your atom, they don't have the exact model but it should be around 1050 here (https://www.cpubenchmark.net/midlow_range_cpus.html), which barely inches out the lowest core duo2's clocked at 1.8GHz in this list!

I'd say its sufficient but maybe it won't run well? also you don't want this mini PC anyway because Resolution says it maxes at 1280x720. you want something with at least 1080p

  • +4

    Bought a 4L air fryer for $71.20

  • Is there any way of knowing for sure that an item is available for the 20% off?

I'm looking at a laptop from Futuregear who are listed above but it doesn't state that it is available for 20% off like it does on other items?

Futuregear (listed in sale above but no mention of 20% off)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-Aero-14W-GTX1060-Gaming-…

PC.Byte (listed above and mentions 20% off)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-Aero14W-1060-BK7-14-QHD-…

    • +1

add items in checkout and use the code. If it is 20% off, it will show up.

      • Thanks for that, guess futuregear isn't part of the promotion as it doesnt let you apply the code :(

        • +1

futuregear link appears to have worked for me on the laptop you linked, checkout applies code and got $527 off.

        • +1

I just bought something from futuregear using the 20% off code. Not sure why it didn't work for you.

        • +1

          worked for me too

        • +1

          @Peccavi:

Given the item is in NZ, do you get charged GST for importing?

        • SLAPS HEAD

          I used "CTEK20" instead of "C20TEK"

          Ignore me haha

        • @jimmej:
No idea… I just paid whatever it said on eBay minus 20%.

  • +1

Not sure if its mentioned, but the search all stores link is borked… I kept getting a message stating "One or more of the seller user IDs you entered was not found" … I also noted one seller Im familiar with never appeared in search results and I knew they should, so I edited the seller name by taking out the capital letter and they now appear… be wary of the link.

  • +3

Bought some Bose QC35s for $429 at 10:00:20 AEST from itglobalsale

Receive an email a few hours later saying item is out of stock… sure…

What I gather from all this is that the seller must make less money with these coupons? So maybe ebay doesn't completely reimburse them otherwise why the dodgy sales tactics.

    • I think they must cover %10 and ebay dont charge there 10% to the seller maybe ?

    • Same here. Looks like 6 units were sold for $429 just after 10am and 1 pair were sold after he jacked the price up to $503. It would be interesting to see if the pair sold at $503 were magically in stock.

    • Me too, I think they're going to ship the $503 one though. Did you guys get asked to cancel the transaction or just wait?

    • Just a heads up. I left a neutral review and they sent me a message the next day saying they found some stock.
Provided I change my review of course.

  • Is there a good dashcam for the car?
Some (profanity) reversed into me recently and I couldn't prove it.
I don't have time to research it right now, but am always waiting for 20% off ebay to buy it.

    • +1

If you don't find one in this sale, get a G1W. They are cheap enough (and great image quality for price) to cover you until you find your dreamcam.
Waiting for the right dashcam to be at the right price isn't going to be of any help when another (profanity) (expletive)s up your (naughty word).

      • Thanks, that's really cheap
