Will You Buy The Samsung Galaxy Note 7R?

Samsung's refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will reportedly go on sale in June

Smaller battery capacity (hopefully won't explode or light up on fire), but probably $300AUD less than the original Note 7.

  • If they sell it cheap enough (or becomes ridiculously cheap) and if they make sure I don't get caught in airport for having a "Note 7" probably. The thought of it being refurbished doesn't bother me much other than potential update issues.

Looking at the rumours, they are releasing it at approximately AUD $820 in South Korea. I'd assume it'd be around $899 ish in Australia.
That price does look tad bit steep, but then again, release price is usually too high for electronics.

Though, I heard that refurbished model will only released if telcos are willing to sell them, so it's not available everywhere.
So, I think there is a chance it'd not even come to Australia.

No, I'm comfortable with my current phone.

  • I have a note 4 which I love but looking to upgrade soon, I am just not sure what to upgrade to!

    • i was using note 3 then tried note 4 edge for few weeks, went back to note 3 and now using huawei mate 8.
good enough. huawy battery definitely better than sammy

  • It's hypocritical for them to sell this device after forcing us to stop using it.
They made a restriction so no one's Note 7 could be connected to a service provider. I wonder if they'll reverse it.
They also imposed battery charge limits to stop people using it, 60% and 30% being the most it'd let you charge it.

The Note 8 is coming around 3 months after the N7R, we'll see how much it'll cost.

No, there might not be a south korea left for warranty claims.

  • The note 7 would have to be $500 or less for it to get any traction. They propably have millions of them sitting in warehouses.

  • Well by the peoces thrown around there isnt much of an incentive to go to a note 7.

Also you have to see if any telco will support the note 7 back in oz (note sure if they will iemi block them).

They have explained why they went up in smoke and its not the handset itself but the way the manufactured the batteries…. big things in small spaces with no clearances or very minimal and they went uo in smoke.

Anyway good luck to anyone that goes for it.
