What's Your Experience with Woolies Home Delivery?

When you order fresh fruit and veg is it fresh or the stuff that was going in the dumpster?

I've only ever ordered one fresh vegetable from them. It was terrible so I'm not taking any more chances.

I ordered 3 bricks of Vittoria coffee last order and 2 of them were completely depressurised, if that's the right term. They were definitely going to the dumpster until old muggins came along. I rang and got a refund but that makes me even more suspicious.

One time I saw two Coles trucks drag from a set of lights. Obviously they care about getting you your food fresh and on time

I find theyre ok, for things I am picky about I will just go and buy in store, but most things I get delivered. Anything you're not happy with they will refund. I find it easy to flick them an email saying what was wrong and usually within a few hours they give me a refund…I have the same experience with coles. The way I see it is only I know what I want from the produce I cant expect perfection from some minimum wage bag packer so yeah now and then I have to send an email to get a refund but its no big deal especially if the product is salvageable since you still get to use it. I once bought a whole pumpkin but part of it was split so they refunded me and in reality once I cut out the exposed piece I had most of the pumpkin to use as well

We order from Coles and Woolies regularly. Most of the time it is fine. Every now and then they make a mistake (eg forget something) or the fruit/vegetables are not fresh. They have always apologised and refunded in those cases, which is all they can really do I suppose.

Obviously the picker shouldn't pick dying items in the first place, but all you can do is call and let them know so that hopefully they improve their quality/standards/process. We haven't had it enough tines to officially complain though.

Still, it's annoying if you have planned ahead and are missing key ingredients.

On the flip side, we've received extra items a few times (bank error in your favour kind of thing).

Once we ordered one item and got 5, another time we got 3 bags full of stuff we didn't even order (presume the delivery guy give us someone else's order in error). Feel bad about it, but again, what are you going to do?

  • They are fantastic, fruit/veg always fresh and they are generous with the quantities. for the issue about an item out of stock you can leave a note for the product saying eg. if wings out of stock replace with thighs etc, otherwise the staff will have to refund which is frustrating for them.
