    just beat me to it!

    • I'm in the process of changing my G3, so this deal popped up in my email.

      • +1

so far the cheapest price for local stock.

        • Yes

  • anyone has any feedback of Vaya store?

    • +1

96.7% feedback, even overseas Chinese sellers often achieve better than that.

    • Co-worker got their Samsung Galaxy S7 Dual sim through them a few weeks ago.

  • Out of stock

This reminds me of a poem which my great grand mother taught me,

      The cook are the book
      The librarian prepared the brain
      The chook are the cook
And the floock went door doot,
Before in 1998,The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in A Cell, and plummeted 4.88M through an anouncer's table.

      • +1

Your great grandma is quite the poet.

I am wanting to buy S7 but will wait for 20% off deal again from Ebay…

    • Will the S7 drop to around $650 in coming months? G5 is already sub-$400…

      • Hopefully….

      • I got my S7 Edge for under $650 from luvyourphone on eBay. It's a unlokced Telstra version, so the package was open but I can confirm it's brand new. May be worth trying. Btw their shipping times are superfast. I got my hands on the mobile here in Perth in one day.

        • Try installing 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' app on your phone…It will tell you if your phone is used/refurbished or new.

        • Wow I just checked them out, seems like great value.
Was yours a listing like this claiming it is refurbished?
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-Edge-32GB-64GB-…

Often these are actually new I've found and the manufacturer is just trying to clear a large volume of stock.

        • @goingDHfast: Nah I don't think they are new….They would never sell new at that price….

        • @kiwiinoz: Already did that. It's not refurbished.

        • +1

@goingDHfast: This is the exact item I purchased http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/272575636565?_trksid=p2057872.m27…

They have different conditioned ones. I got a New condition one. There are near new, excellent, good, used condition ones with $30 price different between them.

        • @kiwiinoz: As far as I know they are new but not sealed. The box might be opened to unlock the phone. But there is no way to know if it was ever used for other than that. If you know any apps that can show the usage of phone I can install and see what I can find. The item I purchased is http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/272575636565?_trksid=p2057872.m27… which is advertised as new.

        • @rvsure: On that same Samsung Info App there should be some info about 'Charger Connect Counter' that can tell you how many times it was charged and so on.
I remember buying my S5 2 years ago from a Hong Kong retailer on Ebay and I used the same app to check battery charge counts…It was 3 and that is normal for new devices….

        • @kiwiinoz:it seems to be available in pro version only now.

  • +2

Did someone buy this for $169? http://imgur.com/a/q394L

    • JESUS! why wasnt that posted

    • Considering the Aus versions don't have Arctic silver at the moment, I doubt it…

  • Available again now, they temporarily changed quantity to 0 after only 1 had been sold, but now put it back up:

    25-May-17 12:13:09 AEST
    Quantity
    Quantity for Midnight Black
    Quantity for Maple Gold
    Quantity for Orchid Grey

  • it out of stock now

  • Maybe keep watching, they may keep updating the stock levels. The offer expires 29th May 11.59pm.

  • I got my wife an S8 last mth, now I'm in need to upgrade my G3 which is having sim slot issues. Well at least it survived 3yrs w/o issues. :(

how do I get the receipt from this deal? sorry, i don't usually buy stuff online :O

        • +1

          Paye pall mail.

        • @0p:
          PayPal invoice doesn't show tax..

        • If this is Australian stock, you should be able to email them and ask for a tax invoice

        • +2

          I guess ebays invoice might?
          But asking always works aswell…

        • @0p: Has anyone contacted them if there's TRS-able tax invoice?

  • out of stock - also says 7 plus's sold and 14 normal ones sold

  • i bought 2/14

  • Back in stock!!!

    They keep updating the quantity..

  • S8+ on the way!

  • damn bought from office works on 11th for $1070.

    • I bought one a few days ago from mobileciti for $1098.80 >_<

      • but looking at vaya eBay store feed back settles me though . …

        • Yes yes I do feel a bit better now, knowing I've spent a bit more towards peace of mind. :P

  • do we get VR headset as well?

    • Think that's too much to expect from such price.

    • Preorder only.

  • Read the feedback guys, i waited over 7 days with them not posting before cancelling the purchase of an Galaxy S7.

    http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&u…

    • Took 5 weeks to get my S7

      • Did you consider that to be a reasonable length of time?

        • No, was a long time… Technically it was delivered 1 week after the longest date they specified

    • Was that for an Australian stock?

    • Yea the feedback is concerning.

  • I have bought a Macbook from Vaya.

I can guarantee that their gear is all from Hong Kong. The reason their feedback is at 96% is because of buyers that are upset they advertise themselves as Australian.

I liked their service, because I bought my Macbook expecting it from overseas. I got it from overseas.

They are going to get a load of dislikes again from the people buying Samsung S8s today expecting local stock.

    • +2

Did it come with an Australian ABN tax invoice with GST?

      • No it didn't come with an Australian tax invoice. But the Macbook works great, and I got it a for good price ($2100).

If I knew I were flying overseas, I'd probably buy it from Officeworks or JB-Hi-Fi during their 10% discounts, and then get a further discount through TRS.

    • Could you please explain why you can guarantee that it's from Hong Kong? It says Australian stock, located in Melb, 24 month warranty. Surely they'd have to specify HK stock or grey import if that's what it really was?

      • +1

        I think they should.

When I bought from Vaya, they had like 94% positives likes only! (Less than now). I gave them a positive upvote.

I went through ALL of their eBay dislikes at the time - and most of them were from people who that they were getting an Australian phone, but it arrived from Hong Kong.

Some complaints were because the phone box seal had already been opened.

What Vaya offers are an Aussie sim card. Their phones are grey stock, judging by all the negative feedback on eBay.

Would I buy a phone of them? If the price is good, then yes. But I would do it with the understanding that the phone is likely going to be from Hong Kong (like my Macbook was).

  • I would not buy from someone with less than 99% feedback on eBay.

  • These guys are grey imports and you can get grey imports cheaper here.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/309084

    • +2

How can you tell that they are grey imports? It says it's shipping from Melbourne, is Australian stock and comes with 24 month warranty?

      • If you look at their website they say they source the stock from various regions

        • Various regions could include locally?

  • +1

Guys before you buy check that they provide you a tax invoice with GST.. If it's aus stock they should.

    • I appreciate your response, and I've seen what it says on their website. That warning is on every phone, and makes sense because if you look at most of their other phones on their eBay they all say location: Hong Kong, and none say Australian stock or 24 month warranty. My confusion comes from exactly that - why is there any question whether it is Aus stock if it says it in the title of the listing? I'm not saying you're wrong - I'm worried that you might be right, so I want to be sure before I purchase.

      Thanks again

      • Maybe raise a question with them confirming if they will be providing a tax invoice..

  • The question is will they still in operation the next 12 months?

    • Yes.

Vaya have been around for years and were also acquired by a bigger phone company around for longer (cant remember who)

  • Wow. Very good price.

  • +6

For those worried about purchasing from this eBay store I manage to get a price match at office works. They could price match $1030 but not the coupon price so it works out to be the same with 5% price match $978.50.

    • May i ask you which store you did the pricematch at??

    • I didn't even know they price match ebay.

    • Wow very surprised they matched ebay

    • +1

Are you able to post the receipt?

    • I called two OfficeWorks stores (Highpoint and Watergardens, in VIC). They will not price-match an eBay store and one guy had never even heard of Vaya before.

      • That happens.

In VIC, no one has ever heard of Bing Lee, and assume it's a grey importer and won't PM unless you force them to examine the site's warranty closely.

    • If you could post a copy of the receipt that would be great. Would like to get another one but checked with Officeworks at Nunawading and they don't price match with ebay either. Also called Officeworks customer service and they said they said the same thing..

      • I called again and they said they will price match an eBay store if the item has an Australia warranty. So inconsistent!

        • @TransportPosters
Did you go through with the purchase? I don't know if I should try calling again.. Did you say anything specific? Sorry to be such a pain!

        • @Sponge: No, we may go by tonight with some print outs and see what happens. Will post an update after.

        • We were successful with Officeworks. We got a price match plus 5% by using this site:

          https://www.ozmobiles.com.au/cheap-smartphones/cheap-samsung…

It was an S8+ 64 Gb in black with 1 year Officeworks warranty, 2 years Australian Samsung warranty, and 14-day return for refund after opening (if still in new condition) for $1,120.05 (price match savings was $206.95).

        • @TransportPosters:
Can you pm a copy of the receipt? I am also after the S8+. I tried ozmobiles yesterday as well when I called customer service and they wouldn't match it. Which store did you go to? Thx

    • +6
      • Hi Mate, sorry to bother you but could you please send me bottom part of your receipt and castle hills store said they will price match if I can get full invoice with bottom part where it got invoice number and stuff.

        • even when ebay store is not the old price anymore?

        • @tajid: yes

i think i still going to wait.

  • still too expensive :(

  • Can you do trs for ebay purchases?

    • Yes, if they give you an invoice.

  • +5

I received a response from the Vaya eBay page stating that the S8 is not grey stock, it is Australian stock with Samsung warranty.

    • +1

hopefully that puts the (grey vs local ) saga to an end!

    • did you ask them about the GST Invoice? And how long approximately to wait? I did but haven't got a response.

      • I got a reply saying they do not provide a gst invoice for TRS purposes..

        • +1

          Just did too.

What we have are Invoice that are correctly formatted for taxation purposes in Australia and can also be used for expense and asset purchase claims. But if the purpose is for GST refunds, ie.TRS, we don't provide that type of invoice as for orders within Australia, we take care of any GST and customs charges. You’ll only be paying the price for the item. GST is still indicated in the invoice but it won't be included in the total amount paid.

You can obtain an invoice via Ebay also, from your eBay account by navigating to My eBay -> Purchase History and selecting the order on this page.

For the estimated delivery, we go by the estimated provided by ebay.

        • @tajid:

          Lol yep same message

        • +1

@tarken: I asked again to confirm that this is in regards to these phones as they are marked Australian stock.

          The response:
Correct, but to be honest, if this is regard a TRS claim refund, in theory, I think you can still claim this as this is shipping from within Australia as well. You can try to check as well if it can be done as our invoice will have the ABN and the GST fee indicated, sorry, if I'm not much of help here.
