MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Armor OC 8GB Graphics Card $649 + Shipping @ Centrecom [Clearance Item]

190

Found the MSI GTX 1080 Armor OC on sale at Centrecom listed as a clearance item for $649. The cooler is decent and the components used are similar if not better quality than the founder version as opposed to the ones like the Asus Turbo where the components are inferior to reduce costs.

Decent deal, but of course there are rumored price cuts coming. Rumored that is…

At the moment you can get the Asus 1080 turbo for around $640 shipped at Futu via the use of the COZY coupon. Modles like the Gigabyte gaming and MSI Gaming X are also available from Futu for around $720.

Centrecoms customer service isnt the best, but their warranty department has been top notch for me. Especially Ian from the Sunshine store. Responds within the working day and gets back to my inquiries promptly.

Noticed that they were banned or something a while back. So feel free to remove if this shouldnt be posted on OZBargain. Just seems like a decent deal given the cheapest price for it on staticice is around $719 at time of posting.

  • The cooler is decent and the components used are similar if not better quality than the founder version

This card's cooler is absolutely nothing like the Founders Edition.

You must mean the: Gigabyte 1080 Turbo OC 8GB; they don't sell the ASUS 1080 Turbo.

    • If you reread it, it was referring to the components. Founders are equipped with pretty decent hardware already, but the MSI ones are on a similar if not better level. Didnt say the coolers were similar. In general if you have good airflow then the MSI armor cools better than the founds which runs at its limit as it is.

Regarding the Asus 1080 turbo. Yes and no. Had both the PC.byte and Futu searches on by accident. Thanks for pointing it out though. Missed it cause the price was the same haha.

MSI turbo > 1080 gtx . Ms bing info said so I knows any

    • Do you mean the Aero? Wasnt aware that MSI made a turbo

  • Showing $689

    • Damn. They changed it. Could a mod pls mark as expired or something.

      • They changed it because it's sold out online, new price is in store only

        • Actually it was probably because the Frankston store wasnt included and thats the only store that has stock left. Pity Frankston wasnt included. Either way, 689 isnt that bad but honestly, I wouldnt risk it. Would be really annoyed if I traveled all the way there only to find out that it was not even in stock.
