      If you click on manage plan it should say until when your promo price of $9.90 should last.

      I just activated mine today and it says (I ordered on the 19th):

        The 6 months deal through Click was the way to go of course for free.

        TA has pointed out this is a different offer to the original 10FOR6 promotion.

    • For those who have missed the discussion:
      We are on a slightly different promo using same 10FOR6 code - just the "starter" (first 28 days) for $9.90 but gain $32 from CR - see deal title.

      Until someone tries (leaves auto-recharge on) we don't know for sure.

  • "Next day" delivery failed me! Ordered on Wednesday and still have not received…that's money down the drain.

      Keep records and submit a claim via CR. Next day means next day in my books. There's no reason Amaysim shouldn't pay when you're clearly not to blame.

  • How long did others take for the service to be active if buying a sim to activate via live chat? (As I didn't receive it in the mail) Was told it's within 1 business day and I don't know if that will make it today as I just had the chat with them. Starting to be worried now…

    I also ordered on 27/6 for next day delivery but it never come.

  • I seem to have the worst outcome I could possibly expect.
    Bought the sim and left it to today to activate. Nothing showing in cash rewards (and not expected as I haven't activated?)
    Try to activate today to find it is already activated and I have 7 days to use my data.
    Not sure what is going on, but I'm not happy right now.

      Hi roughana. If it's preactivated, you will be paid. When did you buy it, and is there a pending amount in your CR acct?

          At 4pm you updated the deal to indicate that "If you have an existing Amaysim acct, you'll need to first sign up to Amaysim with a new/different email address to access this promo".
          I have been an Amaysim customer in the past, but I did not have an active sim with them when I put the order in.

    I was sent two SIM cards for the same number…

    • Omg I just realised I got charged twice for the initial sim. And despite putting BPay as my preferable payment method, I've been charged again today.

      What makes it even worse is the fact it says my service no longer exists. Going to have to cancel my cc.

  • Ok, I have setup payment method to Bpay. How do I cancel/close the account without porting to other provider ? Will they chasing for payment if I don't close the account ? I will destroy the sim card.

  • Hmmm, so the deal description does not include the following:
    - Ordering by standard delivery, the sim is already activated (therefore it would already be activated before 30th June)
    - Otherwise, pay extra for next day delivery to receive a sim that is not yet activated (why would anyone want to do this?)
    What a bizarre marketing decision.

    • Delivery & preactivation has been discussed so many times in this & previous Amaysim deals.

      Not much use complaining now after deal has finished. The OzBargain time machine is out of order.

      Preactivation was discussed on first day of deal.

      To avoid preactivation, it was suggested to order SIM to port from another telco.

      Checking account to see if preactivated was suggested many times in this deal. I posted that recommendation several times.

      Most would have bought for the Cashback dollars. A few people reported they weren't even going to use the SIM. Mine took 11 days to arrive, leaving 17 days use. Complaining has resulted in credit applied to account, which is pretty useless.

      I don't like it, but who cares with Cashback paying. Thanks TA & CR. As for Amaysim…

      • Actually it was the second day of the deal and I had already purchased.
        I complained and had a credit applied, so I get a months access which is what I paid for.
        I may not get the CR credit as I was a previous customer - that is a different issue.

        • Preactivation was discussed at 09/06/2017 - 23:07, same day, 13 hours after deal posted.

          Didn't you (like many on OzBargain) have a previous account with Amaysim (oops you said you did above)?

          Strange you didn't already know of these issues. I found out the hard way in a previous Amaysim deal a few years ago & never forgot :-(
          As I wanted a quicker payout, preactivated was fine with me this time.

          As for CR Cashback & other issues…
          You could have cancelled order & reordered with different email & maybe ported to get full 28 days, knowing what was discussed in this deal. If you'd discussed it much earlier I would have suggested that. A good aspect of OzBargain - the community help.

          (I used the same email as old Amaysim account, posted the need to use new account, thought I would not qualify & "done my $9.90", but received tracking & $32 quickly.) Hope you're successful.

          The credit applied is usually pretty useless unless you recharge using it, buy $10 data pack, or if auto-recharge is turned off use with pay-as-you-go (dearer calls). So you won't get the 28 days you expect. Discussed in deal a few times.

          It was unfortunately a confusing, changing deal. I revoked my + vote, but got paid $32, so wish I hadn't. But most of us muddled through & should be paid or it's on it's way.

    I bought last week but until now has not been tracked by Cashrewards, although in Click History it is there.

    • About same chance as an End Of Financial Year any time soon to create the business need for this type of sale.

      When Amaysim sees all these new customers abandoning them very soon, they may not want to run this type of promotion again ;-)

    • If you need an Amaysim service your best bet would be to buy the Groupon $29 for 6 months x 1.5GB unlimited.

    I bought my sim (tracked on CR site) and it was activated on June 30 but hasn't been approved yet. How long does it normally take? Can I port out before it's approved and still get it?

  • My claim was declined probably for some bullshit reason due to their systems being crappy.

    1. I ordered a SIM within the correct dates following all the terms and conditions. When ordering I selected a number e.g. …111
    2. I received the SIM in the mail, and activated straightaway. During activation it asked me to select a new number e.g. …222 so I did that, then it asked me to pay $9.90 again.
    3. Contacted support who said because I activated from a mobile device instead of my desktop, the sim was activated as a new account instead of the ordered account.
    4. Support cancelled the …222 SIM and sent another sim so I could activate the …111 number. I confirmed with support that this would not affect the cashrewards claim.
    5. The next day (30th), the SIM had not arrived by 5pm and I contacted support again. They checked the mail tracking and the SIM had not even been picked up from the warehouse yet.
    6. The support person told me to buy a $2 SIM and use that to activate before the 30th so I could still get the cashrewards.
    7. Bought a $2 SIM, used my desktop computer to activate and the activation went through on the 30th June.
    8. Logged into cashrewards today and I see that my claim was declined due to not following the terms and conditions of the deal.

    WHAT THE FFFF… I followed every term and every instruction given to me by Amaysim support, and now they decline my claim.

    I guess that when they cancelled the …222 number, that cancelled the cashback. Or maybe when I used the $2 SIM instead of the one that they forgot to send me.

    Either way this is a joke and if it doesn't end up being approved, serves as a black mark on all these cashrewards deals that rely on all the steps being followed by the vendor which we have no control over.

  • Just want to say thanks TA. My cashback for this was approved. All I did was order and it was pre-activatd when the sim arrived.

    I am having some issues with ebay purchases on the 30th not tracking. Is there a backlog at cashrewards?

    • Great to hear, and thanks for the feedback. Re eBay, please allow at least 7 days for tracking. See from this comment where tracking took 1 week, as eBay is at times slow to report sales to us.

      If there's no click-out, there's nothing you can do. You've obviously done something wrong. Your CR click history is basically bullet proof. If your click isn't showing there, you didn't use CR.

      So you didn't turn of auto-recharge as recommended?

      I assume they tried to bill you for the next month, but couldn't. You will likely be still liable for the amount as you left auto-recharge on, allowing them to bill you.

          That's good news for those wanting the 6 month $9.90 offer. Original thought was that would not work with this Cashback deal & revert to $24.90 (full price) after first month.

  • So based on their new plans (details here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/318405), does that mean those that wish to continue for the next 5 months get on the 2GB plan for $9.90/mth?

    • I got charged again (after only 3 weeks of "usage") and it still says 1.5GB, so they don't give you the 2GB it seems. Not happy about the new charge though, should be 28 days as advertised and I'm pretty sure I switched off auto-renew, but there is no proof I did in their system. Intentional, don't know, not a huge Amaysim fan right now.
