no he is not, and he's richer than you

        • According to wikipedia, he's now a Ambassador of Australia to the United States since 29 January 2016. That's not exactly on the dole…

        • @Zachary: Aye, who negged me?! Care to explain why then if you disagree?

        • @Zachary: apparently he has a thing with former vice-president candidate Bob Dole, so he could be "on the Dole"

        • +1

Rubbish. He is taking double pay.
His parliamentary pension + his salary as the Australian ambassador to the USA.

        • @calcium: …wow…

    • Just cut down on the smashed avo and you'll be right :P

  • Can we combine this code with other code like from Groupon ?

  • Got 10% off yesterday now $20 off…geeeeeeeeez…

  • +1

A technical question. Is it possible on a Buy It Now listing with "Make Offer"… have your offer price accepted… then later, add that item, with the Accepted Offer price, to your cart?
(So that you can use the ebay discount code during the checkout)

    • +1

Yes, it's definitely possible. I've made an offer and had it accepted, it got added to my card under the accepted price and I added the discount code after.

      • +1

Thanks so much. Really appreciate it.

      • Yes, but if the coupon has expired by the time they accept the offer, you still have to pay.

    • I'm always worried they'll only accept my offer, after the discount period is over. They have up to 48 hrs to reply. I've often thought of putting in a stipulation that they must reply within 2 hrs??

  • Ebay will make ozbargainers going broke this time!

    • +5

      Not smart ozbargainers.

      • pfft, only but what you "need"

Today - I have placed two separate orders from work - go figure.

      • I still get the same error buying from Dan Murphy store on ebay, is it ebay/paypal problem or my computer???

  • i want to boff ebay

  • +2

FFS just give us 20% off store wide already..

  • Just wonder is there a reason why Ebay keeps giving discount ???

    • Site traffic.

    • -1

They're calling this "hump month", hence why they keep offering more deals.

    • +8

Amazon is making them pee their pants.

    • Market research.
      Bit of good will.

    • Got the same error for satchels and envelopes. Must have excluded some other categories incorrectly. You could try taking it up with ebay?

  • any good cheap heater for bathroom? but dont want to make hole in the wall or ceiling. small bathroom only

    • +8

You don't have a glory hole in your bathroom? Shame!

    • What about this ?
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Emergency-Fire-Starter-Flint-Matc…
You could collect used toilet paper as the fuel (or even any 'reading' material after you've finished reading it for the articles). Venting of carbon monoxide and other noxious fumes may be an issue. But it would fulfill the cheap price point.

    • Probably looking at something like this, although this type would work too

      • thanks. the second (fan) type, are they safe for bathroom because after hot shower the room will be full of fog/mist/water on the air?

        • should be fine for a couple of years at least even in the worst humidity. But if your bathroom is that full of fog after showering you got other problems

        • @outlander: sorry not full but some. i found interesting one:
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292051835351

        • @dragonindespair:

Yeah that'll work. Popular in older homes, they really heat you up, as in it feels like your face is being microwaved haha
Add a few hundred to the price because it will need to be wired in by an electrician
If youre going down that route, the heat lamps (or tastic as they're sometimes called) is more modern
          here
Once again needs to be wired in by an electrician, but it's usually easier because there's a power connection for the bathroom fan already there. An advantage is they only burn your scalp. They also come in a half size for really small bathrooms

The next evolution to that train of products would be a wall mounted ceramic panel heater, which would be the one I listed first.

        • @outlander: "needs to be wired in by an electrician" really? not just like portable heater with cable plug in to power? we have power outlet already in the bathroom (for hairdryer for example) next to the sink/wash basin.

  • Doesn't work on items listen in US currency ?

"this code cannot be applied to some of your items"

  • Man they sure are getting desperate. One sale ends and another begins.

  • +1

This is becoming a chore- stop giving us deals! Too much choice. I'm correct- this isn't a targeted offer (despite the first comment)?

    • At least they're giving you some time to think with this one :)
Personally I'm waiting for the no restriction 20% off, so I can buy some bigger items

  • +5

What's with all the "I'm going to go broke" comments? You do realize you don't have to buy anything just because there's a discount code? I'm going to hand in my ozbargain membership & tie another onion to my belt :)

  • Awesome - placed two orders of $81 and $84 after discounts.

  • damn damn and more damn
yesterday found a phone for 335.00 with the code for 10% off (end up being about 300.00)at ebay but no T&C posted. Today went to shop to see phone to help decide to purchase it. come home to make the purchase online and that damn 10% off is gone gone gone replaced by 20.00 off…. DAMN missed out on 30.00 off! so mad!!!

    • you missed $30 plus the transportation cost/petrol from home to the shop.

      • 😦 I know I know… and it really really sucks 😒

  • sorry, newb.
If im buying a $107 dollar item, it's saying the code can't be applied.
Is that because it would make the item go below $100 ?

*4. A minimum spend of $100 applies, based on item cost only (not including postage costs).

    bugger

    • Check it's in AUD. Check it's not an excluded category. Check it's > $100 not including shipping. Check you're on .com.au not .com.

      • wont work if it checks out in usd? damnit

        • speak to live chat before u pay for it, they will credit your paypal

        • @banzini:
eBay contact redirects to PayPal? Is that right?
I'm trying to buy a $100 item. With postage at $17. Its $100 (nit Inc postage)

        • +1

@albanyson: google 'ebay chat' as long as it's over 100 AUD they will assist.

        • @banzini:turns out was in the car category, even though it's a cushion. Got the seller to change it to furniture and then was able to use the code.

      • it's in AUD, its an echo dot (not in Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730), Bullion (178078) and Gift Cards (172,009).)
        it's $107 including post, on .com.au
        ???

        http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y169/devilrolla12345/Screen…

        • Click through to the deal and double check the T&Cs, otherwise use 'Help & Contact' in the ebay header.

        • @mattythecapybara:
they asked for stored credit card on ebay to be removed, no dice.
they asked for *remember me for faster checkout with paypal to be unticked, removed, no dice
now they are going to email me if they work it out.

I got the $49.99 Small Batch Bundaberg….it's a gift, I'd prefer Kraken for myself

  • Well, I don't get it.
$100 item, with $17.60 postage. Code can't be used on the one item. ($100 exactly)
I understand these codes usually don't include postage, but the item is $100.

mines $107 and it wont work

      • Worked out mine was listed under wrong category. Gotnthe seller to relist one under a new category, under furniture seat, and then code worked.

        • mines listed under home entertainment / media streamer

Im thinking of buying a mechanical keyboard. Any suggestions?

Code wasn't working for me till i realised i left off the o

  • Say I won an auction for an item that's $80. Could I then add something else to cart that's at least $20 (to put it over $100) and then use the code on these two items? Or would combining an auction win with an buy it now item not work?

    • It will work. You can mix Auctions, Buy It Nows, Best Offers - it doesn't matter. Just make sure the total (not including postage) is at least $100. And of course, you have to pay for the items before the code's expiration date.

  • To makw up to $100, just need a $22 item…….

    How come everything is $24…😏😏😏

  • For a moment I thought it was targeted and that ebay finally targetted me for something. I actually felt special until you shattered the illusion.

    • Not trying to be a know all, but you do realise that's a dive style watch, as it's 100m & push down crown.

Still a great watch, just hope you weren't thinking it was the Seiko SKX007K1.
