  • Stap it! I must save my money, but must buy something i don't need, but really really want that will end up collecting dust and then will be palmed off to someone else free of charge, why do you keep doing this to me, I can't take this anymore, but must buy, don't buy, buy, buy I shall. All ebays items belong to me.

  • is this code applicable to all sellers listed on ebay.com.au site? and as long as payment is made before the code expires, it can be used even for best offer item?

  • +1

CALM, sure, I will wait for 20% off.

    • Just use a price protection CC and you'd not know what waiting is.

      • Zeral. Price protection works on ebay?

        • +1

Yes!!!! Think I've claimed like 10+ this past year and heck I just got another email today regarding my earphones from ebay where I used originally used the 10% coupon, but claimed for 15%!

          Item Description: Sennheiser Ie800 Earphones
We have made a first and final payment of $32.25 to your account representing the benefit for the item that has been reduced. Your claim has now been closed.

          LOVE LOVE LOVE

        • @Zeral:
          Thanks, just bought it anyway.
So I've used 15% coupon which works out to be $870 and if it's on sale for any less than $870. I can claim back? (obviously from the same seller, same item etc…)

        • +2

          @nicksnoobie:

Pretty much, if ebay has a 20% sale, just add the same item to cart, use the code, screenshot/take a photo of the checkout and upload it to imgur or whatever.
When it asks where you see the discount from, I paste the ozbargain link + imgur link.

I got rejected once when I put in a claim 2 weeks after a deal expired, so its best to do it during the promotion.

        • @Zeral:

          Which card?

        • @aimon:
28 degrees, but I think coles mastercard uses the same company latitude financial too.

        • @Zeral: But then you pay 0.5% of your closing balance as a premium FYI..Coles master card you pay 1%. Unless you got the platinum card, and you're super unlucky, it's not worth the claim

          https://www.canstar.com.au/credit-cards/2-litte-known-but-gr…

        • @Droid11:
          Oh that….
Nah you pay nothing if you pay everything off before they issue you your monthly statement.
As in if you use $200 and pay back $200 1 week before the month ends for the funds to clear, you pay nothing. It's the statement that asks for minimum payment requirement etc.

I thought so too at first cause it was suppose to be 55 days interest free, but you end up paying that 1% interest if you don't pay it all off before the month ends.

As in @nicksnoobie, pay everything off sometimes this week and you won't need to pay the 1% fee. If you had bought it on the first week of a month, you have 3 weeks to pay it off etc.
It's the CC's attempt if make an extra 1% profit if we had paid partially.

    • There's another "20% off" selected stores sale for the next week, so it seems unlikely they'll have a general 20% off sitewide in the next week at least.

      • Want to buy a speaker from binglee, hoping 20% comes along

  • nice, managed to score a best offer on an ipad pro 9.7 with cellular for $530 all in plus cashrewards

    ebay is crushing my wallet

  • Thinking of grabbing a new phone as my nexus 5 is getting a bit old, anything better value than the Oneplus 3T? under $500

    • Nope but OnePlus 5 launches tomorrow

      • Maybe I'll wait and see what that's going to be like, but I assume a lot more expensive.

  • With this coupon and another last week, it would seem that I have been banned from buying Australia Post satchels. I bought approximately $1K earlier in the month using coupons. Has anyone else heard of anything like this?

    • What would you with that many satchels? Do you own a business where you mail stuff or something?

      • Yes. Tried on another account and the code was not accepted. Judging by recent satchel purchases it looks like someone is buying them with the coupon.

        • I see. That makes sense. If they haven't set a max number that one can purchase, why would they care if you buy even 10Ks? Do the eBay sellers in these deals lose any money? I thought that eBay foots the difference and the sellers receive their full payments for the items we purchase from them in these sales, no?

        • @AussieDaddy:

I had thought so. Have been buying satchels on eBay with every coupon that comes along for some time. Perhaps they are wising up. I imagine it is just a way for the sellers to churn their credit cards.

      • He sends satchels of blood to the doors of his enemies.

  • Is this applicable for auction won item?

  • does this applies to second hand goods from individuals?
