Which phone to upgrade to from Galaxy S5

I bought a Samsung galaxy s5 at the last boxing day sale for around $395. Since I bought concierge with the phone, and now that TGG is happy to refund me the phone's worth and the Concierge's worth, around $475, I am looking for a replacement phone. TGG no longer sells S5 (because its no longer manufactured).
Which phone do you recommend I should upgrade to ?

I have two kids at home and the phone will inadvertently get thrown around - so the phone needs to be sturdy. Water proofing is fairly important but not a requirement (the kids can decide when THEY want to hose me down). I am not looking to play any sort of complex games on the phone - may be just a few basic ones. IR blaster is a very good to have feature. Should be around the $400 mark. I have a month or two before I need to turn my S5 in and buy a replacement.
The phone needs to be sold by TGG.

    I can't see too much on their website in that price range, comparatively better. It looks like the old S5 is still around $500. Can you clarify your total funds to spend?

    Probably look at getting a G5 Plus when it goes on sale. normally 399 but we've seen it go on sale many, many times in the last few months.

    You can then fit it with a Poetic Revolution case which has a built in screen protector and flaps which gives it some degree of water resistance.

    However if you want a IP67 / IP68 rated phone, there aren't many to choose from. Galaxy S7 is more than $500 dollars and the Galaxy A5 is too underpowered, while the Galaxy A7 is too overpriced.

        ooo. That's odd. I thought I had read Snapdragon 410 in the Galaxy A5. Looks like there are different versions of the A5, from 2016 to 2017.

          the original A5 had the SD 410
          The A3 2016 had the SD 410 as well.

          Bit confusing with the same A3/A5/A7 each year.

    The s5 has got everything you need but the a5 or j7 that i saw have no ir blaster
