Microsoft Surface Pro i5 256GB Tablet Local Model

Finding it out for a friend

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/tablets/microsof…

Is there a way to get this model as cheap as possible, they need it in the next few days,
the best way I can think of is to get 5% off by buying jbhifi cards at woolworths,
however I will sacrifice extended warranty via credit card

Ive told them to wait for sales but they seem to be time sensitive

any pointers?

They dont want grey imports for obvious reasons

Yeah go the armed robbery route.

Or students get 10% off at the Microsoft store, if you know one. Then get JB to match.

    • thats brilliant,
Im sure I can find someone who has a uni email address,

do jbhifi simply say Ok, to a student discount?

      • When I went in they didn't check actually. Just asked them whether they could price match the Microsoft student discount and old mate said sure.

Then you can pay at the register with JB hi-fi gift cards if you want

        • Have been to one jbhifi and called both said they can't do student discount… Best is 1938

I might shop around a bit more other jbhifi

        • @hellohello123:

You want to ask them to price match the student pricing at the Microsoft online store.

Bought it from Carindale JB hi-fi if you are up in sunny Brisbane.

        • @iforgotmysocks:

I have asked that and they said jb have a student section. And I need to call the jb student libe

          Never heard of it

Due to certain reasons the purchase needs to be purchased in that individuals name and not someone else.

But I might try and see how low they can go.

Fortunately they have some free extended warranty to two years through jb. Which is Great

  • Tip: Consider getting an extended warranty for as long as possible as these things don't score well on repairability. Default warranty is 1 year.

OTHER: If you are a reseller, the MS store may give you 10% discount or the likes.

    • im trying to go through JBHIFI

      • In that case then your options are very limited.

        • As in. I'll price match through using the student discount as originally suggested

  • DWI normally have good deals on these but they dont seem to have the model you are after.

They have the Surface Pro 4 (old model) i5 256 Gb for about $1319 https://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Microsoft-Surfac…,

they have the 2017 model Surface pro with an i7 256 Gb for $1999.00 https://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Microsoft-Surfac…
