AmEx Explorer 100000 Bonus Points

Hi all,

I had a quick question. So I recently got the Amex explorer, and am expecting the bonus points associated. Now having had a look at the Amex travel website, it looks like all the flights are on full-service airlines. As an individual, I travel a lot but I prefer getting budget airlines as long as the flights are cheap. So for an individual like me, am I better off selling my points in the classifieds? How much can I sell my points for? And is anyone interested in buying my points + travel credit, if this is a good option for me?

    Do not cash in your points on the AmEx travel website. You will only get 0.0075c per point, which is terrible value (you can cash in your points for the same rate). What flights are you looking for? Might be able to help with some recommendations on how to redeem.

    Same here, Having real trouble spending the $400 travel credit. ie two weeks car rental in NZ through them is $500, where as getting it 3rd party is $250. Same with flights. Also you cant combine flights+car/hotel with one way flights. look around at some of the points guides to get a better idea of what to do with your points. Or sell them on the classifieds here (not entirely legit)
