Laptop Recommendation in Sydney

Per the title, I am hoping my fellow Ozbargainers will be able to recommend a laptop.

Circumstances dictate that I have to purchase the laptop from a physical store in Sydney this weekend, so that kinda limit my options.

For the laptop requirements, I mainly require something:
- Light
- Ability to multi-task (e.g. multiple chrome tabs, running multiple programs at once)
- SSD
- Good battery life
- Decent graphics

I have set myself a budget of $800, but happy to go higher or lower as necessary.

Thank you!

I doubt you'll find anything with a decent ssd and dedicated graphics for $800 in a local store. We just picked up the Acer for $850 with those specs but no graphics

Been looking for the wife and $1200 seemed to be the bench with clearance ones at 1k
    Good luck

Perhaps add to your search a 1920x1080p screen and at least 8gb ram

  • From harvey norman website from $800-900 if you can stretch it a bit more. If you're close enough, check out their clearance store in Mascot. They might have some stuff.

Add them all to the 'compare list' for easier comparison and choose you're preference (I can't copy and paste the link to compare them all for some reason)

    In short:
    - They're all i3 (Dual core) with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD (except the HP with 256GB)
    - 2 of the Lenovos have dedicated AMD GPU R5s (but its not that impressive for like gaming but you can do some light gaming)
    - Acer has Full HD screen, the rest are 1366 x 768.

    Hope that helps
