Thanks OP. Picked up the Garmin Fenix 5x for $760. $190 off the price. Been waiting for a good discount on the watch.

500 votes! Congrats OP! (from voter no. 500)

  • Thanks OP.Got ASUS PB278Q 27 - $489.60 which I think is good. Also people don forget cash backs.

  • Does anyone know if cashrewards will work when using this coupon?

    • +1

      Yes it will

  • I thought VideoPro Online would be above it, but even they are price jacking.

    Hisense 65" 65N6
$1786 on their website, $1993 on eBay

    Panasonic 65” TH65EX600A
$2187 on their website, $2387 on eBay

    • take the price on their website and add ~10% and what do you get? the eBay price

why do you think that is? perhaps eBay charge fees that add up to around that exact figure and their own website doesn't charge them fees to sell….

      • Perhaps you are correct, that is definitely a possibility.

I just wish they would be honest and advertise it as a 10% off sale then.

        • +1

they would still add extra 10% :P

During the last 20% off eBay sale I spoke to one of the VideoPro staff and they were very open about the fact that their eBay prices have to cover the eBay commission they have to pay. At that last sale, none of their prices shifted when the eBay sale started however I did notice that some prices are the same on their website and on their eBay store, but others are different.

The staff member wanted to sell me the TV directly through the store while on the phone but he couldn't match their own price with the eBay 20% discount (as eBay cover that discount). He totally agreed I should purchase from their eBay store instead, which I did. The $2628 I paid for the Panasonic 65" 65EX780 TV this way could not be matched by any Sydney stores I tried. Bargain! This TV is up for that price again now. Highly recommended.

  • no good deals on gopros in case anyone was wondering. cheapest for the black5 was 450ish when theyve been closer to 400 before

    • The 6 should be coming out pretty soon anyway, I'd hold back for now.

  • Hi, I just wonder if anyone here have bought anything from these 2 seller before? Some feedback would be nice. Thanks.

    • I haven't dealt with buymobileau but I was tempted to buy an iPad Pro from them. After checking their feedback, I didn't want to take the risk - there's a lot of negative (around 15% of customers) feedback.

If you search OzBargain for vaya ebay sales you might get some feedback on them. I think I've seen a few times where people have had bad experiences with them but I can't recall which deals it was on.

      • yea, reason why I asked is that I saw some feedback of vaya about listing stuff they dont have or lie about the model of their phones. Not sure if that true or not, but made me worry.

        • While I don't like the fact that Ausluck has their items listed above RRP, I decided to purchase from them (iPad Pro 10.5) rather than risk it with Vaya and BuyMobileAU and their grey stock. Still $120 cheaper than RRP, I'll cop that.

@Kugz: thanks for sharing. But the phone Im looking for only have few options to choose from. still considering.

        • +1

@Kugz: yeah their listed price is stupid but with the 20% off it is still cheaper than via Apple and they are Aus Stock ( apparently )

        • @Squeezy: It says it is Aus stock, I bought a 10.5 from Ausluck (I got my Apple Watch from them a year ago), it's still cheaper than RRP :-)

    • I bought Samsung galaxy S7 edge 128gb from buymobileau during the last sale and it landed at my doorstep within the week, so far very happy with the purchase

      • Good to hear that some are having good customer service with them, I was put off by all the neg comments and the fact that I saw them put their prices up yesterday and told me a story about HK prices changing…… deal breaker for me!

    • I also bought a macbook from buymobileau, got it within a few days!
      Very impressed

  • Are the TVs on video pro eBay very cheap after discount? Might by the 55-65 inch hisense looks like a steal.

Looks like Ausluck increased their price for iPhones $200+ on their eBay store it's cheaper actually on their website, so dodgy.

  • Thanks - new EVO 500GB SSD for $220 - just in time as my current 120GB ones are dying!

  • Nice. Was thinking of getting a Netgear Orbi WiFi extender.

  • Hisense TVs least better than soniq

    • How does it make sense? Ebay charge them fees to sell via ebay, whereas their own Web page doesnt

  • Got a laptop - Gigabyte SabrePro15-1060-702S 15.6" i7 16GB 256GB 2TB GTX 1060 6GB Gaming Laptop

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-SabrePro15-1060-702S-15-…

    $2,359.95 on Ebay, minus 20% coupon = $1888

    at KongComputers - $2249
    at AffordableLaptops - $2249

$2,072.00 to $2,361.10 at 9 stores according to ShopBot.

It seems a lot better than the current Lenovo Ideapad S410p I'm on.

    • Sales history:

      heavenlyhammocks AU $2,359.95 (before 20% coupon) 15-Aug-17
      g***e AU $2,359.95 30-Jul-17

So I guess I was not price jacked. It was this price 2 weeks ago.

      • You paid roughly $200 more than this I suppose but the build could be better or worse I don't know.

        https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-Helios-GeForce-G3-571-7…

Same specs no 2tb HDD also might have to change power brick or get AU plug. Not sure if they can source you an AU plug.. so roughly $150 for convenience. Not b a d.

        • And 6% cashback on Amazon vs 1.3% on Ebay.

Can't say I know the difference between the 2 laptops. The US one could be better value, simply because it's in USA instead of AU. I was used to Amazon declining to ship technology to Australia, so I went straight to the Australian options.

I calculate the one you mentioned is $250 cheaper before the cashback, so $300+ after cashback, though without the HDD.

I'm not too disappointed considering the bother/cost of getting a HDD installed.

        • From Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-SabrePro-15W-KB3-i7-7700HQ-N…

Same brand to the one I got and similar specs, but 1TB HDD instead of 2TB, and a bag and mouse included. $2050+ all up. So maybe the Gigabyte ones cost more for some reason.

        • @HeavenlyHammocks: this laptop was one of those one in a million great deals that Linus tech tips found. And it is true it is really great value.. haven't found anything that can beat it.

  • eBay really know what retail shops to use for these codes, if only they had the big 10. Half of these places Have never even heard of.

  • $1000 55" Hisense 4k LED Smart TV

    https://www.videopro.com.au/p-10832-hisense-55-55n6-uhd-led-…

    eBay equivalent

    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/332246347878?_mwBanner=1

Good price for a half decent 55" 4k Smart TV LED

The pro's are better upscaling and overall improved picture quality and smart tv functionality for say roughly $300-500 more.. also HDR.. I think the input lag is also lower for gaming.

If any one can confirm or deny any of this that would be fantastic.

  • Has anyone found any bargains for pc desktop under $1000 ?

  • My order from futu online came in a Shopping Express labelled box. Are they associated somehow?

    • That's weird !! I don't think they are associated. 🤔

    • Yep they're associated.

  • Can't believe there is no 10% off code this week which there have been last two Thursdays, and I have two items I want which could be done with the discount, wonder if we see any over weekend. Your just never sure with eBay

  • Thanks

  • Was going to buy a webcam (c922) from gamedude computers as it was $118 on their website. On ebay site it's $156 + postage. Probably one of the biggest discrepancies I've seen as even after discount it's more expensive. Very annoying.

  • WTH !
Just looking for a WD Red NAS 4TB WD40EFRX HDD and cheapest on staticice is $204 (Megabuy). They also have an ebay store and sell it for $242.
    MegaBuy Fail

  • Any good deals on aus stock gear s3?

  • If I buy something which has been price-jacked to $1,100 before the discount, will customs consider this >$1000 and (profanity) me?
Or will they consider it's value to be whatever I end up paying (20% off)?

    • Full Price before discount
