  • What about intel panels?

    • Hi,

We supply Risen and Trina panels only.

    • +2

      Geek joke

  • Just a comparison for those interested, I'm in NSW, I just got a 3.38kw system from ads solar for $2800 + metering. (Which I got for free from my retailer). Also a zever inverter, I rang zever a number of times last week with some questions, no answer ever and no returned message, so probably bot great support.

    • Hi,

Firstly, what panels did you go with? Also we are offering a larger system at 4.5kW so a bigger inverter (4kw) and more, newer panels (i imagine you have 13x260?)play into the price difference.

I don't know ADS so I may be speaking out of turn but as a retailer they should provide the service of sorting out any issues you have with ZeverSolar, as we do here at e-Solar.

      • Panels are BYD, I know your system is bigger, this was just for comparison. Wrt the question, I did ask ads, but was not totally convinced of the answer so thought I'd contact zever. No response, Their after sales service seems non existent.

  • It's a shame the new state govt increased the supply charge. I was actively looking to install solar but that put a little dampener on the payback calcs.

    • The increase to supply charge doesn't change the payback period. You're going to pay it whether you install PV or not.

Since the tariff went up to 26c the payback period has actually (very slightly) decreased.

  • Last month I paid $3500 for 24 x 266w panels (6400w total) with a 25yr warranty and a 5kW inverter with 10yr warranty. Fully installed in Perth.

    • 25yr PERFORMANCE warranty is useless because it is hard to prove that the performance dropped below 80% (usually).
Product warranty on panels are normally 10 years.
I hate installers that only tell you about their 25 year performance warranty but not 10 year product warranty.

Still, seems like a larger install and system and cheaper than your "bargain". You might need to improve your deal!

  • Any deals or good reatailer you know for Adelaide?

  • Are there more 'powerful panels'….I only have a very small amount of roof space that actually faces north (on a south facing block) and was wondering if you have something smaller.

    • No need for more powerful panels.
I have heard that you can use mirrors to increase the sunlight level on the panels (and void the panel warranty….)
