Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Cheapest for local model?

Apologies and thanks in advnace
but im having a very bad luck run of phones,

1st phone, Broken USB port, overseas model, 5 months old, have sent it back, hasnt come back
2nd model, screen cracked, unfortunately, paid with VISA as seller didnt accept acept, Amex screen insruance didnt cover, 3 weeks old, ordered a new screen, took it to shop to fix, phone came back completely broken,

so im getting frustrated with everything and tinkering with phones,
I use my phone a lot however im not a power user, all Ineed is a smooth operating system, 5.5Inch screen
and im not willing to spend too much

and it must be local warranty

Had a note4 a while ago, loved it but got stolen

so im looking for the cheapest local model S7 Edge

can anyone recommend where to find it, am happy to pick it up from a retailer,
alterntaviely if its going to make it cheaper, I am happy ot look at antoehr brand,
the only requiments is android
however since I use it a lot I dont want to get a cheaper model which might be slow or laggy

apologies for the long post

  • Man you eat the phones!

As for the one thats gone 'missing'. I would be jumping up and down about that!

Same for the one coming back broken!

FYI no local warranty covers screens.

As you eat phones, maybe look at slightly cheaper phones? Like the Oppo range. 5.2" screen for ~$300 outright if you ask JB nicely https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/Outright-Mobile-Handsets/op… or the 5.5" https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/Outright-Mobile-Handsets/op…

I would suggest you use a Nokia 5110.

    • 2g network is dead, so go the nokia 6120 classic as its 3g!

I suggest Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, cheap ($160) but very nice phone if you don't need to use camera much. If you are into flashing custom ROMs, this is the one to get as this has very good community support. I have been running LOS (CM) for last 1 year and hasn't missed a beat.

I have glass screen protector and case on mine but even if I break it, I can just buy another one which I have already done once.

      Fails this OP requirement

and it must be local warranty

    • Thank you

one of the phones was a xiaomi. It broke after a few weeks and getting warranty was near impossible

I won't care about the warranty on a $160 phone, just get a new one if it breaks.

  • P's happy to try other brands if ita cheap and good
    Eg oppo or huawei

  • You should be able to find the edge on clearance soon.
Samsung Australia have officially discontinued that model. They will only be selling the standard s7 going forward.
