  • I worry if i buy ticket today and Kim sink Japan tomorrow :(

In that case you'd have much bigger problems than losing the cost of your ticket.

Thanks! Bought for April->May again this year.

  • site is down

  • it seems to be cheaper to select flights from sydney, before the 8th of May. or am i missing something?

  • There are no $0 flights listed for me regardless of what dates i put in.

    • I booked one in June and the return was $20.
I didn't see any $0 either but $20 is sweet too.

  • Do they pay you danger money due to North Korean rockets?

  • Seems that most of the free tickets have been snapped up, I saw some on thursday and friday but was too busy with work to snap them up.
Im sure qantas will provide a japan sale soon then it would be better with all the points perks and baggage included.

    • Booked for June, but quite interested to hear that Qantas does sales too?
This is first time to travel to Japan. :)

Did previous Qantas sales were as good as $400 return (like this Jetstar one)?

      • Not this cheap but direct and baggage included.

        • I see, if we're talking about a difference of $100 or less, then I suppose its as good especially with direct.

  • There are a few left that return early april, not much use to me as I'd have to take two weeks of LSL. Had tickets in the cart on Thursday but didn't shoot in case the mrs got angry lol

People seem to be posting high prices here. Have a shop around for dates… I just booked Darwin to Tokyo return, via Cairns for $785 with 15kg luggage.
    DRW > CNS 6 Nov + CNS > DRW 20 Nov = $428
    CNS > NRT 7 Nov + NRT > CNS 19 Nov = $357

P.S. Some phrases I used a lot in Japan, for those who have booked:
Hajimemashite, [your name] desu (pronounced ha-jhee-meh-mush-teh [your name] dess) = How do you do, I am [your name]. Only really used when introducing yourself for the first time.
Ikura desu ka? (the u in 'desu' is always silent) = How much is it? As in, what price. Practise your numbers to understand the reply!
Sumi masen = Excuse me (e.g. if you bump into people in crowds, or when asking for directions)
Nan desu ka? = What is it? (be prepared for people to answer you in Japanese though lol)
Gomen nasai = I am sorry (e.g. for inconveniencing someone)
Arigatou gozaimasu, or just arigatou (the u in 'gozaimasu' is silent) = thank you. The longer version is more formal/apologetic.
Doitashi mashite (the i in 'mashite' is pretty much silent) = you're welcome
Watashi no namae wa [your name] desu = My name is ___
    Konbanwa = good evening/night
Ohayou gozaimasu = good morning (before about 10:30 am). Again, the u in 'gozaimasu' is silent
Konnichiwa = hello for any other time of the day
