Tablet for Android Games?

My old first gen Nexus 7 has a problem with the charing port and can take a day or 2 to charge, as well as being fast and responsive for a day or 2 then becoming slow and laggy then I have to factory reset it.

I just did a quick search for a 7" tablet but it seems the specs are all the same as 5 years ago?

Can anyone recomend a 7" tablet to look at? Right now I use my phone but I prefer the larger screen and my phone screen burns my thumbs after about 20 mins of play time.

Thanks for any advice.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is the one I would recommend.

    • Cheers, anything 16:9?

I'd consider it but hopefully something in 16:9 comes up.

The 4gb of ram is pretty sweet, the other ones I was looking at were only 1.5gb and I thought that's a bit lame these days.

Check out the Huawei MediaPad M3

        • Cheers, I found it and the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus which is 4gn of ram too.

Both are 16:10, seems like everything these days is 4:3 or 16:10?

I can't find anything with half decent specs with a 16:9 screen but I'd go 16:10 over 4:3 if nothing comes up.

@ezarc: I own a Huawei Mediapad M3 alas no 7" android tabs exist but if you want to game I suggest trying the Windows tablet route and streaming pc games to your tablet.. can even run an android emulator on your pc and then stream that to your tablet.. gives you access to more stuff imho/highly versatile

I paid $430 AUD for my Huawei Mediapad M3 32gb WiFi only from Amazon in February.. it's a good size but smaller would be perfect imho.. Still feels like a way oversized smart phone and not a comfortable handheld..

There are some lite versions which I think are a little bit smaller but not 7" iirc.

So yeah it's Windows or wait for some manufacturer to start making 7" tablets.

Looking back now.. a Xiaomi Mi Max would have probably been a better buy both price wise, functionality wise and phone wise (can't make calls on my non lte unfortunately and the lte version is pretty pricey)

Ah well isn't that what they say hindsight is 20/20

          Good luck man.

@ezarc: I think the only 16:9 tablets you can get now are 10". It seems 16:10 is the most popular aspect ratio for some reason.
