Adelaide/Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane/Perth - Amsterdam Return from $935 (China Southern) August 2018 @ IWTF

110

Not as cheap as May or June but I think it's a ripper time of year (summer peak)
Just booked a trip for me and my partner from Flightcentre to Amsterdam from Melbourne in peak Summer season for only $1,030 return.
2nd AUG - Return 29th…checked 28th, 27th, and found a bunch of dates. The departing date seems limited though.

also, 22nd and 28-hour flights which I feel is amazing via China Southern Airlines which are not bad at all! (found the staff to have limited English)

Checked Perth: 2nd AUG2018 - 23AUG2018 $935!!!
China Southern Airlines
PER08:30 - AMS06:45 (+1)28h 15m
AMS13:35 - PER21:55 (+1)26h 20m
boom

To be honest, it's my birthday today and I don't feel like formatting and inc all the info but I wanted to share with my people!

Adelaide/Brisbane/Syndey was around 1k on 2nd to 23rd AUG give or take $40

Any ideas on how to tightarse it in peak season would be appreciated, everything is going to be expensive. For those who enjoy music festivals, there's going to be a bunch happening all over Europe at that time.

Safe travels and avoid the Space Cake from the cafes in Amsterdam! lol

Flew China Southern last year, can say, for the price, this is an outstanding deal!

It's a 28 flight. I would not fly China Southern Air for a huge flight like that, their planes are so old and the interiors run down. Cathay Pacific I'd fly with for sure, but 28 hours of being stuck in a cheap hotel room is bad enough is too much for the other budget Chinese airlines. If you took your family or a fussy spouse then you risk them being grumpy with you by the end of the flight, as well as everyone needing to dread the return passage during the entire holiday. Cathay Pacific does free booze for international flights.

      • Preach your Cathay Pacific somewhere else.

You should be fully aware of the conditions of flying China Southern, considering the price and all. Obviously it comes down to personal preference. I'm sure there are other airlines out there, not just Cathay Pacific, that are better.
