Moved to Forum: Original Link

Just found this deal. $70 off. Was able to get 8 meals delivered for under $10 bucks. The Mrs also did it for the delivery for the following week. I believe it expires tonight.

Nup, placed an order without the delivery fee, just skeptical about receiving anything.

      • Here bro have some pepper with that salt.

    • Worked for me just 30 mins ago.

    • +2

Chef will resign after seeing all the orders?

  • Thanks so much for sharing op! Fingers crossed they will honour it.

  • Code still working at 2302 but i did buy more than $70 of food

  • Code still works past midnight, there goes any chance of this being honoured.

  • Thanks op. Just placed my order :)

  • Yes. Thanks OP

  • +2

I'm surprised the Youfoodz website didn't get ozbargained. Put in an order of 8 so actually paid something :) Good luck everyone!

    • +1

They're using the shopify platform as their tech… so site not likely to die from the load.

  • +7

Just ordered 7 meals for free as well!

Here come the "sorry can't fulfil blah blah"

IT'S WORTH IT FOR THE EXCITEMENT ALONE!!!!!

  • +3

    3883 clicks * $70 voucher
    =$271,810 potential profit
how do these guys make money?

    • They have more than $271,810 to spend on food.

  • Lets say 4000 clicks is 4000 orders… so assume its 7 free meaks each… thats 28000 free meals

    • +2

27,999 - I got a water bottle for 10 bucks in memory of this if it does go through

      • +1

        You are my hero!

  • +1

    Thanks Hope we'll get it

  • +1

Gave it a shot. Will see what happens. For some strange reason if my order was above $70 then the free shipping option wasn't available (I'm in Perth so $20 seemed steep) but when my order was below $70 then the option reappeared.

    • -1

i'm no rocket scientist but i think the minimum spend to be eligible for free shipping is <$70.

      • Indeed. Though there is not much incentive for people to buy up big outside of a promotion.

  • +17

I'd pay a couple bucks to see the face of whoever is checking these orders in the morning.

  • πŸ‘ We cook, you eat πŸ‘

    • +22

      πŸ‘You order, we cancelπŸ‘Ž

Felt gulity just getting meals for free so spend $4.55 on two protein balls to try. Hope it doesnt get cancelled

  • Got confirmation email from auisse farmer direct last time but they still cancelled the order, good luck guys

    • +1

It was very UN-Australian to cancel those orders…

    • Didn't get confirmation from latest Aussie Farmer $35 free offer, but just received SMS that it is about to be delivered. Got the previous 2 free $50 orders.

      • How did you slip through the net?

        • Ordered as soon as possible after deal posted.
But was 1 hour & 4000 clicks late for this deal…

    • +1

I complained when Aussie Farmer did that to my wife's order. They gave her credit for the order, so we were able to buy a meal later.

  • +1

Something id genuinely be interested in, Hope they deliver.

    • +5

They do liver: Liver & Pineapple pizza.

  • -1

    Thank you! :-)

  • I assume these are pre-cooked meals that can be reheated via microwave, unlike Farmers Direct?

    • Yeah

    • Some of the farmers direct ones are, but not many, and they taste like crap.

    • It's designed for a different market. Quick reheated meal verses home cooked meal made with fresh ingredients - where you can vary the recipe if you like. No one would be that impressed with microwaved meals (unless you tell them it was free!).

I learnt a few things about cooking & cooked the Ratatouille again from left over fresh ingredients from Aussie Farmers. Don't think I'll learn much about cooking from microwaving prepared food.

Love the oversupply of veggies & herbs with Aussie Farmers. Had so much left over, had ingredients for many other meals. Delivery from Marley Spoon just supplied 1 tiny clove of garlic, no sauces & no oil, whereas Aussie Farmer supplied whole bunch of good garlic & the rest.

  • Highly doubt this will be honoured but on the off chance it is, thank you op !

  • OMG… they will be ripped off from this promotion

  • 12.28AM - 10 minutes after receiving my order confirmation email, my order disappeared from my order history…

    12.29AM - Order appeared again…

    This is weird.

  • Sensational. Ready willing and able to enjoy. Cheers.

  • Did this in the 1% chance they don't cancel everything like the 5 free coffee deal from a while back

  • Just wondering if anyone has already received the cancellation email πŸ˜‚

    • -6

      I already received my order!

      • Confirmation or the food?

        • Don't bother this hell0 guy was bullshitting about something else in this thread already, he's probably spreading misinformation

  • -3

Are they allowed to cancel these orders? i.e. do they have the right?

    • If money doesn't exchange hands, yes.

      • I paid $20 already so money has exchanged hands. Does that mean they can't cancel mine?

        • No. I am sure the terms & co0nditions allow them to cancel orders where there are errors.

    • -2

No. If they try we should pack their call-centres and social media with phone calls and deny them the ability to do business until our free meals are delivered.

    • Yes

  • +1

As a broke student during exam period, my stomach will thank you gladly if they honour this!

    • Looking at the calories, these are nowhere near enough to fill me - I find I have a voracious appetite during swotvac and exams.

  • why do they even do this lol, surely they know everyone come for freebie and never again, esp on ozbargain lel. oh well gg, cheers for free 7 meals.

  • Ordered up! Delivery scheduled for 1 Nov πŸ˜‚

  • +2

This could always be a deliberate freebie by them- they get hundreds/ thousands of email and physical addresses to market to, and if the "free" meals are good, potentially hundreds of ongoing new customers.
If they do cancel, they should be pressured to delete the information of any buyers who have used this code.

    • get hundreds/ thousands of email and physical addresses to market to
Tightarses only interested in freebies like us are not the buying customers they would want, so not worth marketing toπŸ˜€

  • So what was the original deal though?

Where was it advertised, Seems like a generic code so apart from the influx of orders they probably didn't expect, is there a reason for it to be cancelled?

    • +1

Who would want to process 4000+ orders 9 in the morning?

      • I mean a legitimate reason, one that won't have backlash?
Comes down to where the code originated and what the stipulations were attached to it.

  • +4

Your Youfoodz order will generally be delivered between 6:30am-5:30pm, however note that we can deliver anytime between 12 midnight-6pm due to a number of factors that can affect delivery times.

A number of factors…like being ozbargained.

  • do these meals freeze?

    • Chilled food?

    • Yes I have frozen them before when the shop near work has BOGOF and I go crazy.

  • +1

My order was 72.15-$70=$2.15, free delivery. I haven't even heard of youfoodz. Thank you OP

  • Has anyone bought their food at full price? if so, what's it taste like- too salty, MSG, etc, and is it good value or all cheap vegies, not much meat.
Only asking cos if they do decide to honour the OzB orders they may supply "special" OzB ingredients to cut their losses

    • Special OzB ingredients? Did u mean saliva?πŸ˜‚

      • +3

Haha- was thinking more like them cutting back on the more expensive ingredients, but yeh, bound to be some foreign bodies in the trays, courtesy of over-worked, angry and sweaty chefs & kitchen hands, suddenly having to prepare half of Australia's meals for the next fortnight

    • Not full price but BOGOF. Pretty good taste yet quite healthy if u check the nutritional panel. Some meals are better than others of course. Definitely worth a try.

  • +40

I FORGOT TO PUT THE CODE IN AND CLICKED SUBMITTTTTTTTTTT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Don't worry it will still be cancelled

    • Looks like you are the only one you will receive their order.
