    Hey, I used this link:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/flybuys/l1

    It did the linking :)

  • Thanks, worked for me, 1 point per $1.

  • This will add to my medibank flybys bonus and transfer to velocity :) good stuff

  • What if you have a Coles cc linked to ebay. Will that double dip points?

    • +1

Yep. They are treated separately, so no issue with getting both.

  • flybuys points will be awarded per transaction on eligible items purchased at ebay.com.au and paid using PayPal at checkout.

Points will not be awarded on postage

They charge fees on postage but exclude it for a promo, typical eBay.

  • Sweet, linked mine.

  • +4

All items sold by the following sellers are not eligible for flybuys points on ebay.com.au:
    Woolworths Supermarket
    Dan Murphy’s
    Big W
    Cellarmasters
    WineMarket

    Someone is being salty

    • Lol. Understandable, they are competitors after all.

If ACCC could be bothered, they can try argue that's anti competition behaviour (which it is) and fine Coles for it.

  • How do you know if you're getting 1 point per $1 or per $2?

  • Weird how some peeps are reporting 1 x point per $2.00 spent. Here's what I got from the FAQ -

How many flybuys points can I collect by shopping on eBay?

You can collect 1 flybuys point for every $1 you spend on eligible eBay items when you check out using PayPal.
Normally, there is a maximum of 5,000 points per transaction.
During special promotion periods, you may be able to collect more than 5,000 points in a single transaction.
The number of points you collect is determined by the final sale price of the item(s) in your cart, excluding postage and any add-ons.
In an auction-style listing, you’ll receive points based on the winning bid price. So if the winning bid is $36, you’ll receive 36 flybuys points.
For a Buy it now listing, you’ll receive points based on the price you agree with the seller. So if the Buy it now price is $30, you’ll receive 30 flybuys points.
If you make a Best Offer, you’ll receive points based on the price you agree with the seller. So if the Buy it now price is $30, but the seller accepts your Best Offer of $24, you’ll receive 24 flybuys points.
If you buy multiple items, you’ll receive points based on the total amount you spend, minus any postage costs and add-ons.
If your transaction ends with $xx.99 the total will be rounded up for the purposes of collecting flybuys points. Anything less will be rounded down. For example, if you spend $49.99 on a transaction, you’ll receive 50 flybuys points. If you spend $49.98, you’ll receive 49 flybuys points.

    • My email i received from flybuys said 1 point for every $2 but after i linked the account it said 1point per $1 spend & exactly what you stated above .

      • +1

Oh. Just checked our email and see it stated "1 point per $2 spent". One hand doesn't seem to know what the other is doing in Flybuy-land!

    • Everyone could be different.
This faq can only be read after login.
What I see is 1 point for every $2.

  • Thanks linked

  • Error code then worked.

  • Just linked using the "Deal" at the top of this page, $1 = 1 Point !!!

Tested the eBay voucher redemption using 2000 FlyBuys points for $10 value. Code came through immediately with an expiry in Feb 2019. You cannot stack deals like PREZZY with the use of your code. Other that that, process worked well and is pretty much instantaneous.

    • +1

Long expiry and the fact that the code came through immediately is excellent news. Not being able to stack codes/vouchers has always been the case with eBay so no big loss.

  • +15

Can also now confirm how points come through into FlyBuys. Points are allocated at a "before" voucher cost. For example I purchased a $38.00 item, used PREZZY, and paid $30.40. Received 38 FlyBuys points. A nice "glitch" especially if you are making large purchases, it's effectively MORE than one point per dollar in this instance.

Also purchased two smaller items (using my $10 voucher redeemed earlier), one $8.95 and one $1.25 in the one transaction. Received 8 points and 1 point, so it does not add together items within the one order. Points are allocated on a per item basis.

  • Ok, seems to be part of the web address you type in. https://www.ebay.com.au/flybuys/l1/faqs
If you dont have the 'l1' in the address, it won't give you any details of points offer until you log in.
Once I log in, or enter the 'l1' into address it's giving 1 point per $2 spend.
Can anyone that has received the 1 point per $1 please confirm what page address they're using? ;)

  • There's also a $25 voucher for 5000 points option instead of the standard $10 for 2000 points so you can use it for bigger purchases.
Edit: Whoops, realised there's the dropdown option for $10, $25, $50, and $100

  • Got my points from my ebay purchase, now getting three points per dollar spent.

    • how do you get 3ppd?

      • +1

Two points per dollar with coles platinum, another point from ebay.

  • I made a purchase through my ebay with flybuys of two woolworths vouchers $600 but nothing showing on my flybuys account or anything to show it took place with ebay.
Why is this this would have took my points over 2000k to then have $10 to spend.

    • Look above:

Some item exclusions apply, including: Services (316) ; Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800) ; Tickets, Travel (11,730) ; Formula (20,403) ; Bullion (178078) ; Gift Cards (172,009) and all items sold by the following sellers: Woolworths Supermarkets; Dan Murphy’s; Big W; Cellarmasters; WineMarket.

      • Lol always something in the t&c

        • That's why they should be read.

  • how the hell is it capped?

    • agreed, also missed out

  • WTF!?? Capped? What rubbish.

  • Wooohooo - I've tested on a few purchases now, I earn 0.66 velocity point per $ from PayPal credit card, plus 1 flybuys point per $1 PLUS 1 velocity point per dollar when purchased through e-store 😊

Good news for the people who missed out first time around, bad news for the people who now get less points per dollar.

    • What? Mine’s only 3x the points … But it did say that you will continue to earn 1 point per $2 so I guess I signed up later

    • Yeah I remembered got a same email but it just disappeared and my 5x points never delivered.

  • I’d rather put my points purchases into QF or VA than this paltry offer.

    • +2

If you go through Velocity eStore, you can earn both flybuys points and Velocity points

  • Has anyone tried unlinking their account and buying with another account and rinse and repeat?
